Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

Hey @RunBuh,
Thanks for the heads up. The headlights is an area I have a lot of trepidation poking around in.....my dealer had a **** of time activating on my macan, I don't need Borked, lol
You willingness to share your challenge is not lost on me, awesome of you to share and detail.....I really hope you can clear/calibrate it with the master tool today. Good luck !

Used the PIWIS to clear all faults (that I could) and then zipped through an automatic coding of Headlight and Instrument Cluster. Headlights are back in proper working order, but now my TPMS isn't TPMS'ing. I tried changing the tire type (and back) with no luck, but maybe I should have changed the the size? Will try changing the size (and back) later.

Here's another "hidden feature".... I notice on the Porsche Configurator that the base prices have been bumped about $2000. The 911S went from $115 to $117, and sadly, the base 911 went from $99 to $102. It's a shame they couldn't keep the base 911 in "five figure" range. I assume the rest of the Porsche lineup saw a similar bump.

I am as good as I was before I monkeyed with stuff, but I clearly have a TPMS problem. There were supposedly a batch of Macans that got the wrong TPMS sensors, I appear to be one of them. I can manually train them, but they will not automatically train.

I can't speak for older Porsche TPMS systems, but the cars I've had from MY2016 and up can have their tire settings changed at any time. Drive around for a few minutes, and everything comes back up. I tested my wife's Cayenne today and got exactly that. However, on my Macan, if I monkey with the tire settings, TPMS will no longer read my tire pressure. If I drive around enough, I get a TPMS failure message. "Service Required". All I have to do at that point is manually train the sensors to the car via PIWIS or the x431. Then everything is fine until something or someone monkeys with the settings.

So my battery is A-OK, my problem was that I accidentally left the bluetooth dongle connected and it obviously drained the battery 🤦‍♂️ Anyway, all fine after a charge.
The setting under lights was there and disabled, so with great excitement I enabled the option and.... nothing. No difference

Thanks for the tips Run Buh, I'll try looking at those and as you say, won't just copy verbatim. Thanks too for the warning for the headlight settings, but sorry you took the pain. I was actually looking at those settings as they seemed inclined to be related, so glad I didn't touch them in the end.

Once enabled you need to pull high beam stalk to activate the settings.

I think don is right......you have some of it "done" now Sierra....burt missing other modules to be enabled....the hunt continues !!
The way in which @Runbuh utilizes HBA, driving, is a must have !!

@Don16, are you a 2016 Turbo with Xenon or LEDS ?

#415 ·
Do you get the "Letter A inside a light icon" when you push the stalk forward one time? If you do, then you just need to go drive around. HBA does nothing until you go over 38mph (I think that's the speed).
No, I don't get that light. That's the one I'm expecting to see. When I push the stalk forward, I get only the blue high beam light in the tacho.

The functional LKA camera needs to be associated to the new function.........in the Front Camera section, look maybe for "main beam assist." to activated...."main beam assist urban area detection". to ON
Great suggestion, I'll take a look and report back.

Thanks guys for the continued suggestions, I really appreciate it!

Ha, yes indeed! With some pointers from @Don16 and @Teddis I now have high beam assist working from X431 Launch!
There were two additional settings under front end electronics and front camera that had to be configured. I want to confirm the setting in front camera was actually necessary as it wasn't until I configured the front end electronics option that it began working, but as soon as I've done that, I'll report back here and update the coding sheet with the required settings.

Thanks again to @Teddis, @Run Buh and @Teddis for the assistance

Sorry everyone, been a very busy few days and only got a chance today to play with the last two settings again to ensure both were required, which they are.

FWIW my car is a 2020 GTS with LED's

Usual warning - make sure your battery is charged/on a tender, make sure you take note of your settings before and after changing and proceed at your own risk ;)

So in essence, on my vehicle to enable high beam assist the following settings were changed:

Instrument Cluster:
Warning Lamps - Indicator lamps coding - high beam assistant: on
Board computer display configuration key 1 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
Board computer display configuration key 2 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
Board computer display configuration key 3 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
Board computer display configuration key 4 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
Board computer display configuration factory setting - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
Board computer menu configuration 2 - Board computer menu configuration 2 byte 0 - high beam assistant: actuated

Front Camera:
Kodierwert/Kodierwert - P150_Ansteuerung Ladedrucksteller Bank 2-AFS_coding_Light_Assist: high_beam_assist

Front-end Electronics:
Extended codings/Extended codings - FLA codings - High beam assistant (FLA) present: yes

After this, in the MFD go to the vehicle menu, press the scroll button to enter settings, go to settings, light and visibility and then exterior lights and you should have an option to enable full beam assist. Enable this and then try pushing your indicator stalk forward (while in darkness). If all working you should get a second green headlight indicator with an A in it.

Enjoy

Just updates to the PIWIS for existing ones from Santirx. I.e. side mirrors (Kombiinstrument , Bordcomputer Menukonfiguration, Siegel einklappen -> aktiv)

I need to hook up the PIWIS II that I have and start poking around. There are some nuances with the PIWIS and F keys to hit between the settings that I am not sure how to capture that in the excel.

Great tip from Santirx to use the real-time google translate while in the German only E (engineering) mode for programming. Also never put your PIWIS II in P mode.

I have the PSE retrofit and LED retrofit PIWIS steps. Hard to add those to an excel. 3rd row vent enabling probably super obscure.

I am looking for the programming information for how to disable the rear hatch beeping/warning when opening and closing (very annoying). I have reviewed and searched many threads on this site and I fully understand the setting is actually a volume level (not an on/off field), however I have no idea where it is located (module and name).

I have modified other settings using my Launch X431 (nice gear), so I assume the setting is accessible with it.

Does anyone have this programming information?

And yes, I also understand the dealer can perform this for me, but I would rather not hassle with it, as my Macan is brand new and should not be at the dealer for quite some time.

Thanks
