I am hoping there will be a few choices for aftermarket rims by next summer. My order locked with 18's while I was trying to decide between the Spyder and SD 20's. When I called my SA and told him to go with the SD's it was too late. I will likely end up putting winters on the 18's (curious to see how it handles with all-seasons first) and getting a set of 20's aftermarket for the rest of the time. The SD's had a nice clean look to them, I liked the Spyder's too, there were just so many cars with them on and they looked to be a pain to keep clean.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the traction the Latitude Tours will give you in the 18" size. I have the same tire on my 2010 MDX, but in a 255/50R/19 and they do pretty decent job here in Minnesota. Not as good as a dedicated winter tire, but better than most all seasons. And overall they are rated as the best SUV/Truck all season tire in the current issue of Consumer Reports, including "excellent" tread life. I can vouch for that, as I have 42,000 miles on them and there is still at least 10,000 miles of tread left. I'm still up in the air about buying a separate wheel/winter tire set for our Macan, but probably will because it has the 20" SD wheels which of course comes with the wider tire tread. Plus it's my wife's vehicle and I want her to be as safe as possible when the weather turns nasty.

Anyone have forged rims on is Macan? I looking now for bc forged wheels .Around 4100$ for the kit.

I was looking at this for winter setup but the shop strongly discouraged me from getting it as too much $ to be spent for winter usage. HB29 + HC050.

No much reviews on BC forged wheels can be found in various car forums at all. Therefore, quality and customer service are difficult to determine.

If it is the same buddy club that was originally only making Japanese brand parts then I would say the product quality is good. I always saw them as an alternative to the top brands bu still decent quality. Comparison in wheel brand land, it would be BBS/HRE compared to say OZ wheels. All good brands but OZ is generally always cheaper than BBS for similar spec items.

I hd buddy club coilovers, suspension parts, racing seat sliders and never had any issues with them.

Not sure about customer service but they were always sold through a distributor not sure they had direct consumer sales in the US. I believe they are either China or Taiwan base company.

they are taiwan based manuf. and they do have sales office in the US. For $4000 for a set of forged wheels, that was the attractive part of my research as you have mentioned the big names are going for double the price.

the only one may be worth looking (forged) would be Forgeline wheels which are roughly $5000 US a set but the optional finishes can jack up the price to near $6000. They are made in US and do have good reviews in general but I found their customer service is slow and on occasions it took couple of weeks to get them to reply.

Just ordered a set of forged Volk Racing G25 in formula silver with black clearcoat.

20x9.5 et29 5x112. Strong and light. The 20x10s are 23lbs.

Hi anyone dealt with PUR wheels? how do they stack up against BBS, HRE, and MORR? I am getting a turbo with steel spring. IS there anything bad about a set of 22"s? Here is what i am thinking about.
IMHO, 22's are way over the top. All a matter of personal opinion - I am more performance oriented than looks oriented.

I'm using 275x45-20s. Performance v rated winters, Dunlop sport 3ds. On all four corners.

I use 265x40-20s 3ds on the S8 currently, and they are really nice to drive on.

I expect the fronts will poke about 2 mm more than stock, with the rears tucked 20mm unless I run a 20 mm dra spacer in the rears. I can rotate front to back each season.

The 275 will fill the wheel well a bit more with its extra height, and reduce the speedo error to about 1 or 2 km/hr slow instead of the current 3.

I expect around forty pounds of weight reduction in total.

I know the 19" and narrower tire is better for snow traction but they look so much smaller than the 20" ones. Hopefully I can get my 20" set on this coming weekend and post some pictures for comparison.

I know the car is already on low (AS). The wheel gap is still sizable. It's the perception of the eyes that focus on the wheel gap and the size of the actual wheel.

Larger sidewalls don't help as well. Here is a pic of our macan in the low position with the RS spyders. Might be the angle or the poor picture quality but maybe the width of the wheel pushing it out more, makes the gap look smaller. Funny is, we took this pic when we were in Toronto:)
