OK - so I got the Interim Service message cleared and now I'm seeing the following messages:

1. the first one is after the key is turned to ON

2. the second one is down in the PCM displays under Vehicle.

How am I to determine which service it is requesting? I thought the info would be available under Vehicle.
Service Interval 1.. doesn't really tell me a lot...

I had no such issues when I cleared the interim.

You can see in the last picture in my post #17 "all service", did you try clearing that?

For what it's worth, I did not turn key on until prompted to do so.

Hmm,
so I just received my iCarsoft.POR II , used.

I did the update, that went fine.
When I hook up. ask per your pics Rapido1 , all is same until the vehicle select......I only get 911 Carrera as vehicle option...... WTF

totally off topic, but we have a Q3 with the oil indicator due.

How much damage to the car do you think it can do if I made an attempt to clear the oil indicator for the Audi Q3 w/ the item?

Reset service warning?

So you guys that do your own maintenance, how do you get the prompts reset? Thanks!
I'm in need of my 30K service. I'd rather change the oil, and plugs myself. Anything else I should do?
Or should I let dealer do the rest? Thanks!

I bought an iCarsoft Por V2 unit from Amazon ($145) which plugs into the OBD port and allows you to reset service reminders. If you're in the northeast (tri state area) I'd be happy to reset yours with my unit... I used it last weekend after my oil change and it's a piece of cake.

I am inclined to purchase the iCarsoft EU Pro for $40 more which will handle all European brands. I'll buy it once someone tells me it will do all the Porsche specific tool can do.

OP - a search of the appropriate subforum will quickly yield several discussions of diagnostic
tools that can be used with the Macan.

search is your friend!

Thanks for the generous offer, but I'm in Michigan.

icar pro POR-II for $150 on amazon. used it for 2x resets already. 1x oil change, 1x 20k reminder. took 45 secs minutes for each reset.

The point of this discussion is if you do your own service Porsche ought to present a way to move the nanny numbers without having people having buy expensive gizmos. FREE.

should they also give the oil you need for the car for FREE?

There is another alternative I don't believe anyone has mentioned. Just ignore the nanny numbers altogether and track your cars maintenance needs manually.

I have the iCarSoft POR II and it worked great to reset the oil service light on my Cayman. I plugged it into the Macan for a few minutes and it looks like I should be able to reset the basic service reminders, but was unable to reduce (or eliminate) the rear lift gate volume. I had my Macan at the dealer for the 10,000 mile oil change (included) and asked them to reduce the lift gate volume to zero and even sent them the Porsche document saying that the dealer can do this with PIWIS, but they claimed that it's not possible. My local dealer has been HORRIBLE when servicing the cars in the past, so I guess I'm not surprised that they lied to me about turning the volume down, when in fact nothing was done.

Has anyone been able to accomplish this task with the iCarSoft plug in module?

thanks.

Dealer lowered my tailgate volume to Zero. Definitely possible through PIWIS.

They do seem hesitant to lower my AS though by 15mm ....working that still ;)

I have only used my icarsoft for oil reminder so far.
