soundaktor.......
I didn't think this thing had a soundaktor. I disabled it in my Cayman. If it does have one, I'm sure it can be disabled.

If the car has Sport Exhaust, it has a soundaktor.

For the GTS and TurboPP, Sport Exhaust is standard equipment, and they would have a soundaktor mounted to the firewall.

There's been discussion about this in the PSE install thread, among others.

PSE sounds awesome from outside

Lots of people regret they did not option it
I know and it's understandable. Some like to have it and keep it always open and yes, while it doesn't sound bad, I just tend to prefer an as quiet ride as possible. I also hate fake noise devices with a passion.

Speaking of PSE, I did see a video of some Porsche reviews in Europe where they found out that even with the PSE activated and fully open, the car would still close it in a specific RPM range. It appeared to be like this by design. I think they showed a 718 and a 911. Wondering if this is happening also with the Macans and if it's worldwide, or just some regulation requirement in EU.

Correct. While I’ve not had an in depth explanation, it’s the thing that makes it noisier inside. Would have been interesting to see if the problem would have been fixed if I turned it off.

What could you possibly mean? Are you inferring that I somehow damaged the car and caused it to do this????????
I don’t think he understood the problem….. A 4 wheeler suv should be able to take it,
thigs could get worse on an off road rugged trail
