GTS sick after two days of ownership :(

Picked up my GTS two days ago... Wow, what a car. Just incredible. I love almost everything about it. I was a little worried about not getting the softer suspension, but in normal mode it's still comfortable and the wife shouldn't whinge too much.

Sadly today it seems to have hit a fairly large speed hump. The transmission/engine/gearbox now bunny hops every few seconds or so at anything greater than the softest of acceleration. It's got a bunch of alarms now too: the ACC is non-functional, along with the auto stop-start (arguably a win), and there are seatbelt and airbag warning lights too. At one point it was bunnyhopping continuously and I had to pull over and put the hazard lights on.

Rang the dealer just before closing time today. Advice was to leave it locked overnight and ring them back in the morning if it was still doing it. I'm 2 hours away from the dealer but there is a local dealer here. I'm at work all day and won't be able to take it in to the local dealer. Was looking forward to taking it away for the weekend before heading interstate for two weeks.

Given I've patiently waited about five years to get my hands on one of these, and it's only two days into ownership, I'm pretty bloody devastated and disappointed! I know mechanical failures happen, but I'm quite gobsmacked that it would happen to a brand like Porsche two days in.

I guess I'll ring the Roadside Assistance tomorrow.

Rant over!

Sorry to hear that. I hope they fix it good for you.
I was confused at first because I read you hit a large speed hump and the car started to stop working properly.
Keep us updated!

Mate you are allowed to rant. So understand you are disappointed however I suspect the Porsche machine will swing into action and the fault will be found quickly and you will back on the road enjoying your new baby. I have had mine since 11.01 and my GTS is bliss, I love it. See you out there.

I also thought the "hit the speed bump" mean just that, an actual speed bump. It really would've been a shame if this can happen to a Porsche which is mean to be able to go off road. Made me think of a rental Volvo XC60 I had a few years ago and I'd shamefully drive over significant speed bumps without slowing down at all. Couldn't stop smiling as only my seat belt would stop me from hitting my head on the roof.

I didn't think this thing had a soundaktor. I disabled it in my Cayman. If it does have one, I'm sure it can be disabled.
