So < $10K is cheap out?

10k each, no 10k for the set rims and rubber. I am talking a set of rims made to your exact specs. Not a set you can go to a shop and pick off the wall. And no I am not saying that 10 k is cheaping out. All I am saying is why buy a rim that is cheap and weights 35 pounds each to put on a porsche. To each his own.

Well, because it's for winter and the Porsche in question is an SUV?

If performance was the primary or only goal we would all be on 18" wheels, wouldn't we.

These 18" BBS SRs weren't expensive, the quality is great

For comparison to 21" Turbo 911:

Nobody seems to run hre on sponsored race vehicles of any sort, or private teams. I see them as marketing bling only. any wheel good enough for rally or f1 or touring car and costing less than hre made it an easy choice.

this is the after market rim thread, if I wanted a snow rim I would use the 18's that come standard just swap ouy the tires. But that is just me, Those BBS are nice if you paid more than 2500 for rims and rubber you over paid.

21 21" Turbo Design Set
Price: $7,495.00
21 21" Sport Classic Set
Price: $6,395.00
21 21" Sport Classic Set (Platinum)
Price: $6,895.00
21 21" Sport Classic Set (Black)
Price: $7,450.00

These are prices of wheels sets from a very popular porsche parts dealer, are there plenty of aftermarket options cheaper. Sure there is are there some that cost more sure there is. I know if you option thes when you buy your Macan it is only half the price of the numbers above, but that is because they already charged you 3k for the 18 or 19 that come standard. Buy what ever makes you happy, that is all that really matters.

@ccsmoker - I paid $2300 for the 18' BBS, Pirelli winters, valves and TPMS set, including shipping and taxes. Rims and rubber alone were under $1900

The 18" standard from Porsche does not fit the Turbo so we opted for 21" and get cheap 18" aftermarket winters that fit. Besides the 21" 911 Turbos are half priced if you order with the car.

Anyone know where the mods moved the GMP lowered Macan thread that was posted on the main forum?

I have seen a few people put 22" x 10.5" ET30 in front and rear. In the rear they use a 15mm spacer. Is this so they can order the same wheels and rotate or are there rear brake clearance issues.

My intent would be to get 22 x 10.5 ET30 in front and 22 x 10.5 ET15 rear so the rear would be more concave.

I know 22s isn't the best performance wheel size.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

based on your intent, the front wheel would have extended out by +15mm and the rear would have retracted -5mm inwards. To make it uniform, a 15mm or 20mm spacer for the rear is required.

Actually, the front of using 22 * 10.5 is too wide. Based on the calculation (compared to OEM 21 * 9 ET 26), there is lesser -23mm clearance to the strut/supspension component. It may be an issue with steel spring suspension, probably ok for air suspension

Cross-post from another thread...but thought I'd share the images.

I got the new BBS 20" Macan wheels in black. They're 9" wide up front, 10.5" in the rear. I think they look very nice.
Nice wheels. I'm thinking about getting the same (probably in a different finish) when I get my car in April. How much did they cost? Did you get them from tirerack?

Also, I see that on the back you don't have the splash guard. There is a small plastic part that you should install if you have 20"+ wheels. Suncoast has the OEM guards for Macan.
