I have a new 2021 Macan. I appreciated the forums help regarding the speedometer being off 3 to 5 mph. I also have a question about the outside temperature gauge seeming to be in accurate and it’s sometimes stuck. For example, we are in the Palm Springs area with temperatures in the mid 80s and even with leaving my car out in the sun, stuck at 66°. Anything I can do to make it more accurate as all of a sudden it went up to 76° which is still about 5° too low. Any help would be appreciated.
Mine does that. No idea why. Dealer can’t figure out why and it’s always behaving itself at the service dept.

I did search in many ways and it found no replies. I am sorry though..

So, has this ridiculous (and hazardous) bug been fixed in the 95B.3 generation?
My 22 S isn't consistent and doesn't change temp readings as it should even after 3 minutes.

My 987 Cayman OAT works fine (always displays correct temp). Found it's part number as 958-505-53500.
The Macan sensor is 9A7-820-535.
I'm going to buy a 958.. sensor and try installing it on my 22 S. May not fix our issue, but maybe eliminate hardware (sensor) and point to communication software/firmware.

Took the Macan out for a spin today and sensor didn’t go past 83F. My trusty Apple Watch told me it was 102F outside though. God Porsche tech sucks.

Let me know if it works

...actually, when analyzing this whole climatisation issue for myself, I found that the schematic and the parts list from around the 2015 model mention another temp sensor in the left front apron. I guess this is the one which detects the ambient temp...also my '23 model T has an air quality sensor installed somewhere. Would make sense if this is mounted where the a. m. sensor is located, at the top of the fresh air intake...and yes, it takes some Km driving before the shown ambient temp changes at all, but it does...makes also some sense to avoid BS readings after parking in the sun...I made peace with this temp display topic...

My meat thermometer registered the outside ambient air temp while I was grilling yesterday.

...we all expect quality from such an expensive manufacturer. After driving some (rather more, than few) Km, the displayed temperature in '23 Macan T seems to be correct.

My real issue is hot air coming from the vents when the AC-function is turned off. This is really annoying when driving at moderate temperatures with open sun roof, where you don´t want AC-cooling, but get unwanted heating (up to 40°C) from all 3 zones' vents, no matter what temperature, fan speed or circulation is set!

So my MFD ambient temperature is stuck on 23.5c. 73F Seems a very popular temperature for this Macan sensor on fail.I will replace it, seems easy enough. Is there a newer revision part anyone ? or is the pictured one still the fix.
Thanks

This could be true, also, the pictured part is air quality , not ambient.

There is another sensor near the horn, for ambient.

Located the timing interval , was 120, or 2 minutes. Have set to 60 seconds for now for testing……..may drop it right down.
