Welcome to the forum Tan. Sorry, I'm not sure about the base Macan, I heard they're not EPA certified yet, but it shouldn't be too far behind and still scheduled to be released on May 24th.

We ordered the Macan S, so our situation is a bit different and yes we have confirmed our delivery at Porsche Experience Center Atlanta on the 27th of Jun.

Congrats mfpetersen!! Please post some pics at your earliest convenience :) and share your build with us also, thanks. Enjoy your new S!

Very interesting to see what choices you've made with your chalk color. Looks good. I'm going with different interior and wheels. Was just told my order is now locked. Check out PKBDYYR6 and tell me what you think. Enjoy!
That's an amazing build but I have to ask, how come having added all these options you've left AS out?

No AS

After reading the pros and cons of AS, it looks like PASM is a must have but the AS is useful if you want to be able to lower the car or drive in the snow. It is unclear to me what it would add for regular highway driving. The opinion here seems to be divided it if really adds that much. I've driven the 2018 Macan at the dealer with and without AS and I honestly could not tell the difference. I tend to keep my car after the warranty has expired, and I was concerned about the cost of repair of AS. It would be fun to drive each other's car and see if we could notice a difference.

Chalk

Awesome build! and another Chalk S!
Great to see how people configure cars with the chalk color. The wheels look sharp. Just got notice that my order is now locked: PKBDYYR6. Expected delivery is mid-August. Decided against Porsche Experience Center Delivery in LA, as it would delay delivery by 6 weeks. Does anyone know if you can still go to the Experience Center after delivery to get training on your car?

Congratulations on your order. You are going to love your new Macan.

I’m sorry to hear that you decided to not do PEC LA, but totally understand not wanting to wait even longer. I did PEC Atlanta and only had about 3 weeks added to my wait even though they said that it would be 6-8 week wait. I think I read somewhere that LA PEC only does one delivery a day compared to Atlanta doing 2, so that would make your wait longer than Atlanta.

You can go to the Experience center anytime you would like and spend time out on the track with one of their driving coaches. I paid to go to Atlanta before my car came because my heart ordered and bought my car, but the brain was having an oh &^%&* moment that I just spent all that money on a car after one test drive at the dealer. I of course went out in a Macan and loved it, and my friend who came with me did a 911 experience at the same time. He became friends with his driving coach and when I went to pick up my car a month later, he came along and while I was out with my delivery guy driving he was out with the coach he had the first time again in a different 911. I know Atlanta had a great restaurant that we ate there and made a day out of it on both visits.

If you want a great extended test drive of your new car I highly recommend that you check it out. I just looked that LA only offers a Macan Turbo driving experience. But out on the track you will be amazed what this little SUV can do!

Hi Pucelle, great build you got there. The look of our build was mainly decided by the wife. She saw a 911 Carrera S Cabriolet in chalk with the black/red interior and 911 turbo wheels (see pics below) in the showroom after we test drove the Macan, and there was no turning back after that. So we basically build our Macan just like it, with me being the deciding factor on most of the options since I'll be driving the car 95% of the time.

As for what i think about your build, well first of all I think you picked a great exterior color, haha. If we didn't go the red/black interior, the agate or agate/pebble would definitely be our next choice. The Macan Turbo wheels are also new and an elegant looking. If it came in 21" I would definitely have a hard time deciding between the Macan Turbo vs 911 Turbo wheels, fortunately my wife is dead set on the 911 turbo wheel, so I don't have to worry about it. I see that you also ordered the ionizer, thats probably the only other option she insisted on. Therefore everything else on your build looks good, you got most of the performance options and I understand why you left some of them behind. The only thing I would do differently is probably change your seatbelt to pebble grey for some contrast, but then again it would probably be too busy with your dark walnut trim. Anyways, enough of my rambling, can't wait to see your Macan when it's finished. Post lots of pics when you get it. Thanks!

Hi Reanard: I can sure see why your wife liked the Chalk with the black/red interior on the Carrera S Cabriolet! Definitely works on that car, and I think it will be stunning on yours. It was a bit challenging to come to a decision about the interior color. The Chalk is a rather cool color, and the mojave beige or the espresso seemed too warm a color to go with it. We had initially chosen a black interior with steel grey deviated seat centers, which was a great match to the chalk. However, the factory could no longer schedule the deviated seat centers. We found the pebble grey to be much too light. So the only choice, other than the one you made, was to do the agate grey. I think it will be a nice contrast. I'm really terrible at imagining colors from small squares on the computer, so I needed to make a few trips to the dealer to see how different colors actually looked inside the car. The more I see the Chalk color, the more I like it. Hope we both are very happy when we get our cars!

Another update from my SA, confirming that our Macan is indeed loaded up into Goodwood and chugging along in the middle of the N. Atlantic ocean right now. Expected arrival into Jacksonville is 5/17 and out of Jacksonville on 5/24, arriving at PEC Atlanta on 5/31. I'm guessing it shouldn't take a week of delivery time from Jacksonville to Atlanta, so a couple of those dates should move forward as well.

Also, VIN# is assigned and shared by my SA, woohoo!!

To see if there's been an accident requiring body work involving your new car. I've heard a couple of horror stories of new cars needing body work due to damage in transit or on the lot. Drive by any dealership on a Sunday and you see a lot of distracted, marginal drivers cruising the lot taking pictures with their phone while they drift through the lot in their multiply dented POS. You get the picture...
Anyways, you can punch the vin into Carfax. Without purchasing, you should see 0 reports. Then, you know for sure.

I also remember reading that some states don't have to report damage to a car before sale to the buyer...yikes.

I'm paranoid, but it's free to check.
