Received great news from our SA Sunday that our 2019 Porsche Macan S has been built, complete with VIN, is on the ship with a scheduled delivery between the last week of May or first week of June. What he could not provide was any Federal or EPA clearances.

Yes, our Macan S is on the Golden Ray.
This is for my wife, her build, her spec as it was my intention for her to make it her own. Offered limited suggestions (Sport exhaust, 21" Sport Classics) but am happy overall. When it's my turn, to add another RS to the collection this will surely pay off!

EPA clearances? Not likely. More than likely, go look at your local dealer's lot and see how many 2018's are sitting on the lot. The delay or hold on cars until June is more likely to allow dealers to clear out old (i.e. 2018) inventory than anything else.

That is an interesting idea. Has Porsche waited to release an updated model (Macan or other) in the past when dealers had issues selling the older models?

SA just emailed me today. Our Macan S is at Port of Emden as of yesterday! That's 3 days ahead of schedule. Still waiting on the VIN, my SA said he usually get the VIN from Porsche when it's halfway across the ocean.

Checking out The PWL Group, it looks like the next ship out of Emden to Jacksonville is Goodwood? Schedule to leave on May 4th and arriving in Jacksonville on May 18th? Am I reading this correctly? ?

Highly unlikely and discussed many times.

a. EPA
b. Scandal
c. Gov shutdown

combined resulted in multiple delays and this happened for the Cayenne too.

Nonsense Maybe in MN The rest of the states have sold out most of the 2018;s except for the base Macans

Everyone here is guessing.

Someone else just posted an EPA doc for fuel economy that makes it look like the s has already gotten through emissions testing. Who knows?

And if you go to the configurator, you don't get an EPA disclaimer anymore at the start. But it still doesn't give a fuel economy figure in the summary.

Bottom line. Whatever the reason, and I hope I'm wrong, but I'll be surprised if anyone gets a base or s before end of May.

Every lot I checked throughout the country had at least one or 2 S's on them not just MN. And a lot of dealers still have a couple of turbos. Not many GTS's. Lots of sports. Lots of base models. All 2018. Every day, the local papers have lease deals on base 2018's. So, there is a lot of 2018 inventory out there. And it will be hard to move if there are 2019's on the lot especially the base models.

My SA just emailed me this morning. 2019 Macan S has been released for sale!!

Grapevine Porsche will have one in the showroom this Monday, and I'm planning to stop by there after work to check it out. :)

Released for sale in non-CARB states because EPA just certified it. CARB states will have to wait another month or two, presumably... And 2019 base Macans aren't EPA-certified yet.

Yes, thank you for that clarification, cometguy.

I got a bit too excited there. Here's hoping that CARB cert are not far behind. ??

PCNA emailed us with the available dates for our PEC Atlanta delivery yesterday. This can only mean that our Macan was indeed loaded into Goodwood yesterday. And looking at marinetraffic.com, looks like it just left Port of Emden an hour ago. Woohoo!!

We chose Thursday, June 27th, morning delivery!
