Hi gus for some reason I can't get this to work. Sport plus is on. The car doesn't rev past 2k rpm. And it just bogs/loads up. Something isn't right
Engine AND transmission must be warmed up. And when they say gas to floor you have to make sure you are engaging the kickdown with the throttle press. Make sure you aren't wimping out and adding throttle slowly either - just mash it.

I know you guys are gonna say the cars are built for it, but this seems borderline abuse to me. What’s the point? Drag race? OK for your car... not for mine. Im sure it’s fun and I will probably try it once I have 1500 miles on my new GTS.

Porsche says it is safe to do LC over & over.

IDK if this holds true for the LC work-a-round... when you do NOT have the Sports+ with LC.
Is it still safe to do this & will you not damage the car in any way?

Come on guys.... critical thinking is what separates us from the repu....uhhh, lower life forms. Do you really think repeated LC is “ good” for your car, or doesn't stress it? What does your brain tell you?

Do you actually understand what critical thinking ....is?

Please provide your evidence that repeated LC damages a Porsche.

Any kind of hard driving is going to be harder on a car than cruising at a steady 50 mph (80kph for our friends outside the us). But if you aren’t ever going to drive it like you stole it, why buy a Porsche?

But a Macan is also not a 911. I don’t think I’d want to test 50 launches in a row in mine, but someone else definitely should and report back.

Also just because a 911 can do it doesn‘t mean it’s not going to reduce the life of several components (tires are a given).

See answer below your comment. My point was... what does YOUR brain tell you. I'll bet you are in the "70 Million".

I tried it once. It was fun. I'm done.

My son has a 2020 Tesla S. Last week he showed me his launch control. Wow!

The LC is especially brutal, un-clutching at 5k rpms while the wheels are stopped. One can't do that during an aggressive driving (only on a launch). Which I do, on narrow curvy roads in the Swiss mountains; I think I posted enough videos in this forum :)

The user manual does say "stress on components increases dramatically" and that the number of use of LC is limited.
My 911 manual page 267 does state: "stresses on components increase significantly when driving off at maximum acceleration compared to normal driving off." It does not say anything about limiting the number of uses. Or using it too often can damage the transmission.

My Macan LC section DOES state what you posted. I did not opt for LC/Sports Plus in my Macan. So, I had only glanced at & then skipped that section.

Seems like LC is different in the 911 vs. the Macan.

I've done a few LCs a few different times in my 911. Much fun & I have no worries about damaging my car.

Not the same transmission nor engine ;)
The Macan's "PDK" seems to be a different box; some say it's actually based on a DL501 S-Tronic, not the 911's PDK ;)

We don't tolerate digs like that. It's uncalled for. Not here. Further, if you want to get 'political' you might want to research the fact that many many republicans were re-elected. However, even in doing so those same people chose Biden over Drumpf.

Let's not forget it's not about "us vs. them". But it truly does say something about the current occupant of the WH....

My comment was about LC. Are you folks that sensitive that you are ashamed of your peer group? I'd be proud to be pointed out as one of the 74 Million. Simple statement of fact.

Wait, are you telling me my Macan doesn't have all the same racing parts as a 911 that costs 50%+ more??? I for one am shocked to hear that. /s :D
