Hi Goregd,
Thanks for the explanation.

Does the Cobb Accesport log 0-60' s ?
May as well get that instead ;)
Agreed! It kind of logs the time or can at least be calculated fairly accurately... It logs around 30 fields and the sampling rate is very good, especially if you come from the other VAG platforms and are accustomed to Vagcom. Sampling is about every .02 seconds...

When I went 11.71 @ 114.75 with a 1.596 60ft time at the dragstip in the fall, the 0-60 was 3.369 based on the MPH shown in the log and taking the time stamp from when I hit 60mph minus the time stamp that showed the last 0mph(LC launch). IE the delta was 3.369 between those readings. I've used a vbox with my S4 which cuts better 60ft times of 1.54-1.57 consistently and have gotten 3.2x 0-60's so it's in the ballpark. I'll take the vbox this year when I go to the strip in the spring and will compare to the Cobb AP and see how accurate it is...

I have the launch control in my car but how on earth do I use it, I read the manual but doesnt seem to work. What am I missing? Also when you use launch control i presumre you have to try and time it to the timings of the light ie activate a few secs before you suspect the lights will turn green? more importantly when activated how do you deactivate (in case you see a cop ;) )

1. Press the brake with your left foot.
2. Quickly press the accelerator down fully
(kickdown activated) and hold it.
The engine speed will level off at around
5,000 rpm.
““Launch Control activated”” is displayed on
the on-board computer.
3. Release the brake within a few seconds.
Remaining stationary for a long time with LAUNCH
You can't be tentative. I went hrough the same thing. Just mash the accelerator.

That video said they got a 0 to 60 with launch control of 4.5 seconds.

How on earth are people here claiming 0 to 60 times of low 3s even with a tune??
LOL! Tune adds a lot of power via boost and additional timing.... Numbers don't lie... I posted a timeslip and tested at a IHRA certified dragstrip... Believe what you want these trucks are 0-60 monsters...

228.6 feet

COBB Stage 0
4.462 seconds
229.7 feet

COBB Stage 1
3.692 seconds
200.6 feet

@F16HTON I'm confused. Stage 0 is slower than stock? I'm sure I am just misunderstanding something.

Turbo, I assume.

Hey guys, just a quick question on launch control.

When i try to do it on mine, the revs doesnt want to go above 2.5k rpm. Am i doing something wrong?

I turn on sports plus, i turn off traction control, put the brakes on and full throttle. But the rpm doesnt want to go any higher than 2.5k rpm.

...believe so...

I think you want to omit the turning off of traction control.

just:

1. sport+

2. brake on - hold it

3. press the accelerator pedal to kickdown

4. remove foot from the brake pedal (and hold on!!!)

better?

@AML2, no good answer that I can think of...maybe the press past kickdown. HOWEVER, the instructions do advise you (and my own experience of about a dozen times) to turn off traction control (@PSEE).

At PEC LA, they told me that it is engineering in a way that you can't "accidentally" do it. So when I did it (minus the Sports Plus and all the other pre-requisites) hold the brake down till the hold light comes on, FULL GAS pedal, release brakes and lightspeed to Endor!

To Chloe, Oliver and Olivia. May their exhaust notes live on for ever.0:)
