Hey, it is the cheapest way to add another button into the Macan center console.

I was an investor in 3 different ozone companies for food safety so I know a bit about it. Now, not what level of ozone is produced on the Porsche ionizer but I guess it is very small. Ozone is used to clean air in every rental car. It is a very potent oxidizer that traps anything that produces smells. It smells like what we smell after a big rain. If used in large quantities the car needs to be isolated and once applied the car needs to be left to air out until ozone disappears. I doubt it is harmful at the levels used in the Porsche version.

 

I don't use my ionizer all the time, but when I remember to hit the button, I do smell a difference in the cabin air...."cleaner" for lack of a better word, like that from a home ionizer.

Decades ago I knew a guy who used to spray it in his car so his parents wouldn't know he was smoking...

No one has answered one of the questions @yrralis1 asked, "is there maintenance?" For instance, is there a filter that needs periodic cleaning, that sort of thing?
