For anyone wanting to install the AK-Audio custom sub enclosure that they make, make note. If you have the base sound system installed then you need to change out your battery lid cover. You will need Trunk Floor Access Cover (Rear)Part Number: 95B863565E

I would recommend tapping the rear door speakers for your LOC instead of the Bose sub wires. Bose adds additional "bass boost" to the sub line. The LC2i looks good, but I've come across another product which I plan on installing instead: Wavtech bass freq. It provides more control of the "tune" over the LC2i. I'll let you know if I enjoy it once I get around to installing it.

I have a focal e25kx 10inch sub I plan on using w/ a JL HD750 amp. The other alternative is a JL 8w7 that I might be able to stealth install with fiberglass into the existing sub location, it's a tight fit though.

Do you tap into it in the B pillar?

I tapped into the front door woofer (it is supposed to have the best bass response signal). I physically tapped into the wires that comes right out of the amp, at the connector.

Would you happen to remember which wires they were? As in, what color? I used the subwoofer wires just before the subwoofer amp and now I’m thinking that you’re correct about the response. Mine does sound a little weak at some frequencies. I’m probably going to try your method and find out.

Front driver door woofer:
Minus: White wire with Brown stripe
Plus: White wire with Red stripe
Awesome, is there a guide for Sound Package Plus on what color each speaker wire is what out of the back of the headunit? I'm planning to install a DSP+AMP and didn't take pics when I rewired all the speakers.

Also, does the front driver door woofer have an internal crossover from the headunit itself so it only gets mid bass and bass signals?

I don't have any info on the standard "Sound Package" of the Macan, only the Bose and Bermester systems.

For the pre-2017 (or 2016?) Bose system, there is only a passive cross-over cap for the front tweeter, which is wired across the front door woofer. The woofer does not have a passive cross-over inductor.

For the 2018(?) and later Bose system, the front tweeter got its own amp channel, with an active cross-over filter, and the cap was eliminated.
