Hi, I have a 2017 Porsche Macan S with about 50,000 miles.
I know I’m past the 40k-mile recommended service for the PDK, and unfortunately, I hadn’t done it yet.
A shop recently scanned it and found some codes p0700 and others related to 4th and 5th gear. They cleared the codes and added about 2 liters of FFL-3 fluid, but they didn’t change the filter or reset the TCM adaptations.
Now they’re telling me that doing a full transmission fluid and filter service could trigger limp mode, and that the transmission might already be damaged.
The car is not slipping or in limp mode. It drives fine. I want to do the full proper service the right way (filter, fluid, adaptation reset), but I’m getting mixed advice.
Is it still safe to do the full service at this point? Would really appreciate any guidance or recommendations thanks
