I think by default the 12.3 unit is made to work with MOST fiber for audio out. As @Teddis mentioned if these have the built in amp you'll need to identify which pin outs are assocaited to the FrL/FrR/RearL/RearR speakers and then hook them up to the associated speakouts on the quad connector. Unfortunately, I do not know the wiring diagram of that in the non BOSE setup. I'm sure wiring diagrams exist online, but a car audio shop may be your best bet for that. They my even know offhand if they've done any base Macan setups before.

This thread may be helpful:

Looks like the speaker wires on the base system were identified... assuming your wires are the same then you would just need the corresponding pins on the back of the 12.3 for the mapping. If there is a stock amplifier in the location @Teddis mentioned then you need to check if those are taking high level inputs (speaker wire) or low level inputs (RCAs, maybe not) so you can get the right input to them. I suspect, based on the wiring that they take high level inputs and if you tap into the wires from the 2017 sound package post that should resolve your sound issue.

All just a guess from me, but maybe the information will point you / your audio shop in the right direction.

I just solved the problem thanks to a youtube video, the only thing I had to do was to splice the "AMP" wires....

Now my radio sounds!

Looks like you were just missing the power to the Macan AMP, great news you got that working. I didn't realize there were RCA connectors on the quad connector.

Does anyone have a link to the proper 3.1 US one to buy that doesn’t have that silly red sticker on it. So many on aliexpress but some of them have insane shipping costs
Did you try ACAR? Acarmultimedia.com. I bought some stuff from them and they have sent me some stuff to try.

Does anyone else have the 360 degree camera system? on mine the front / rear and drivers side work ok but the passenger side is just black? It was working fine before i installed this radio and if i understand well there is only one video cable going into the unit so i doubt its the unit itself that is bad. So either its some setting or a bug .... or coincidently either the radio or the car module itself has failed.

this is the issue I have, evidently it is working it just has a big box on the right that shouldn’t be there
I have seen that before in dual screens… the issue is not the black box, the issue is the position of the car graphic which should be within that box. All your cameras are working well. The car image is just off centered. In dual this was solved with a firmware update. But with 12.3” I’m not sure. Let me ask someone….

I have Burmeister sound system.
I guess none of the android big screen can tuned the burmeister sound ?
Because when i am on a long drive I select "pure sound" which is much better to avoid headach.
Otherwise i select "live music".
I often switched

I suppose those are just EQ presets. And if that's the case, with a bit of tinkering, you could replicate the settings with the Android units.

Otherwise, for as long as you're able to feed a digital signal to the Burmester amp, I suspect you should be good.

Hi all,
really discovering this amazing forum. I'm owner of Macan S 2017 and since 2 weeks I decided to install the 12.3 screen as you can see in the attached picture (really no idea on the brand as its managed directly and installed in a garage). However, I'm facing some issues : 1/ the magic button cant manage media when CarPlay is used (change the track for example) 2/ the second big issue is when Carplay is used, connexion is lost suddenly and I'm facing this at least 5 times per day. 3/ the last issue is the option to display traffic recognition is lost and no more available since installation of this new screen. So I want please your feedback if there is any solutions for these issues and big thanks to this Community

The magic button will not work unfortunately. I have never had the disconnect issue so I cant answer on that, do you have the issue only using Bluetooth or also wired?. There is no way to get the traffic info to work that i know of .

Did you see my video on this? Joker button configuration….

Finally, I figured it out! I modified the Diamond Button SW Control for my FYT 12.3 Android unit
