If you have an FYT.....I dont even think the EXT mic works. You need to use internal. Problem is, that one is bad as well. Unless you change the Mic, or check its position in the barrel.

It has been hit and miss with these units. I got lucky and mine was fine out of the box (internal mic), but others had problems.

What is FYT ? I have the factory microphone in the steering wheel but I think the mechanical told that only works with the pcm… before I remove the Pcm it was perfect.

FYT is the chips used in the 12.3" Aftermarket Head unit discussed in this thread. I never knew there was a mic in the steering wheel.

The OEM mic is not in the steering wheel It is in the overhead control area.

Yes, but make sure the vendor send you a MOST 150 Adaptor..........NOT MOST 25, which is PCM 3.1

Hi,
I’ve had this unit for a few months and it’s been great but yesterday the bass went out. The audio still works but any bass in a song is gone. I have a 2015 Macan S w/ the base audio system (No Bose) which I don’t think has a separate amplifier. I’ve tried to reset the equalizer and increase the bass with no success. Also the problem is both with the radio and apple car play. I wanted to see if anyone else has had this issue and how I may be able to fix it. I hope it is a simple fuse but would appreciate help on where to look for this. Any help is appreciated.

I'm going crazy with my unit, I bought a unit on aliexpress (I don't know the brand...) my car is a 2016 Macan with stock PCM 3.1, no BOSE equipment or anything. The unit came to me with the typical MOST adapter, but in my wiring harness I don't see any connectors....
It works everything correctly (the radio turns on, I see the rear camera...) but no music or anything....

Any suggestions?

You won't need the MOST box at all if you don't have the fiber in the car or if that is still used then You forgot to move it from the quad connector.

I don't have the MOST connector on my original quad, if I don't need the box, how do I connect everything?

The MOST box is for audio out only. If your radio has no built in amplifier then the RCA out from radio needs to go to an aftermarket amp then to factory speakers. I don't recall if the 12.3 units came with built in amplifiers since I was using the optical out to my factory amp. (I have BOSE set up)

Sorry for my absolute ignorance on this subject ... then I have to buy some other adapter cable? Cut and splice ...? Or how?

You just don’t connect the converter. There should be rga cables coming out the radio then going to connectors of your Porsche. Upload a photo of your entire harness and we’ll tell you what to do. For example here’s mine. I have two sets of rga. One is if use the most converter box the other if I don’t

I am not Familiar with the base audio system, but it seems the AMP is in thebacl of the car on the side/
Most of these 12.3 come with powered 4X48W as well..........

May need a car audio shop.......

I've tried taking the box out and connecting the AUX cables directly but it doesn't work either....
