Ours arrives next week. Will measure then if someone hasn't already replied.

(Mott the Hoople, Spirit, Spooky Tooth, Uriah Heep were good, too.)
Thanks!

I'm a fan of Uriah Heep & Spirit & had their albums & remember Mott the Hoople getting airplay in the 1970s. I think I had heard Spooky Tooth as well.

Uriah Heep ? Holy Mole ! I used to listen to that band and haven't thought about that for years.

Uriah Heep and Blue Oyster Cult. I saw them in concert. Geez, I think it was back before WWII or somthi'n

" This is a thing I never knew before it's called easy liv'n ..." -uriah heep

Thanks for the memory jog :)

Covercraft has made the pattern for the Macan and will be taking orders in two weeks for their sunshade.
I bet it will cost $55+

Not everyone thinks it is worth that price for a mere sunscreen. Even if it is insulated & custom cut for your specific model & can select a variety of colors.

Hence, my request for measurements. I will know 1st day after delivery but, prefer to pre-shop & have sunscreen on hand day 1.

Enlider I am still in the hunt as well + I subscribe to the *buy once, cry once* school of thought.

I have no issue w/ spending $50-$75 for a well made screen/shade, as it gets toasty here. High temps or direct sunlight are no bueno for items that must remain in vehs., not to mention interiors as well.

If nothing else the CoverCraft model looks like a solid option, hope someone updates this when they have one available in a few weeks.

@iconoclast

I'll bet you're right, it will cost $55 or more. That's about what a gallon of wheel cleaner costs, or the H20Guard I just bought a gallon of, think that cost even more. But those get empty pretty quick, the sunshade will last considerably longer.

I always buy the best of any and every product I can. If the Covercraft is the best, it's the one I want. I know people who spend $55 a week in starbucks and all they then do is piss it out.

Picked this up from Costco this afternoon for $7.99. It has that silvery color on the outward facing side. And it folds up to about an 8" diameter disc.
Thanks Rammjamm!

I wonder if that means that the Macan windshield inside dimensions are ~ 30” x 57?”

This is the type of sunshade I’ve used for many years & really like it.

If 30x 57 fits Macan that this one (60 x 32) I linked earlier will surely fit

$14.97 & free S&H if order > $35.00 on Amazon. Has money back guarantee. Has 1515 reviews ave 4.4/5.

If anyone buys this & tries it out please post back your review!

That one looks to be pretty much the same thing I got from Costco. It looks identical. I also forgot to mention that the costco one came with two smaller ones for the side windows as well.

Probably very similar, w/o actually handling each cannot tell quality, thickness, etc.
I am not a Costco member. What do the ones for the side windows look like?

The side ones are just window sized versions of the windshield one. I have my front windows tinted so I haven't used them.

I used the windshield one yesterday for the first time with car facing the sun for like 5 hours in over 90* temps. It was obviously still hot inside but much cooler than it would have been. It was also very dark inside which I guess also means something.

I think at some point these do the same thing right? I'd say the biggest benefit of the Costco one is how small it folds up.

Yep, the reflective silver color should reflect the sunlight so less light/heat stays in the car. It should be sturdy enough so constant folding & putting up & taking down does not make it fall apart. It should fit well enough so it doesn't take too long to put in in position. I have serious doubts that an expensive, thick one with insulation custom made to exactly fit your windshield will work any better.

I might try one if it was say, $25 vs. $15 for a non custom one but, I simply do not believe the value is there for these $55+ sunshades. To each their own though. I also would not spend $15 on a loaf of bread no matter how great it was purported to taste.

Next order from Amazon I will get the 60" x 32" highly rated one & have it long b4 my Sept. Delivery.

I bought the Porsche branded one from Suncoast. It's not cheap at $55, but it's pretty good.
If SunCoast would get reasonable on their shipping I would have one as well.

Until then I'll wait to see what CoverCraft comes up with & YMMV as always.
