Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

re making the instrument cluster (nacho, speedo) lights stay on during the day ... is this still the right coding for 2023 models?

Hey guys,

Searched and coming up short. I'd like to preserve the bottom seat bolster as much as a I can while getting in and out of the vehicle. The seat only moves back during comfort entry and I'd really like if it could move all the way down too. I searched and it seems the code can be changed (google sheets link below) to move the seat back further but I haven't read anything about if it can be moved further down. Anybody know if this is possible?

I am aware that as a work around people are using one a different preset on the door to make the seat travel the floor. I was just wondering if it can be changed with coding instead.

Just checked and yes you can adjust all ways the seat moves including the height, back, lumbar, etc

I Have done some research in getting the sports exhaust button/light to show on 2021+ centre consoles. Apparently this is easily added by activation in the DME and AirCon unit. It will either be under a value called ABGASANLAGEN or Exhaust System. Both units need to be coded to activate.

On another note as well, start/stop function can be set to remember last state very easily in the AirCon unit as well. This unit seems to be what controls the buttons and functions of the centre console buttons.

My launch should arrive later today so will code these stuff in.

I was just poking around in DME and didn’t see anything there for my 23. Also poked around in the Air conditioning module and saw the section where the button configurations are set. Called Tastekombination left and right. I tried changing the configuration but the writing keeps failing

Just an update. activated sports plus etc via the joker button etc. activated all the features I initially intended to activate and then I stumbled across activating "individual settings" from the cluster. (see screen shot). This allows you to set up individual mode via the cluster by selecting the options required. This now leads me on to wonder if we can somehow activate the "mode select" feature from the cluster or the PCM to switch between N,S,S+,I.

Thanks for finding the "Individual" mode toggle! For one anyone else coming in here looking, it is in "board computer menu configuration". I don't believe there is any way other then having the mode selector dial to quickly change between N,S,S+,I (or use the joker button shortcut, but can only of course pick one mode then). The only thing you miss out on now without having the dial to select is the ability to pick "individual mode"

From what I've seen in PIWIS coding both modules need to be coded. It may be that the DME needs to be coded first. In PIWIS the function on the DME is 176 - SPORTABGASANLAGE and also XLF - SPORTABGASANLAGE. Not sure what they will be in Launch though.
I got the same as you and was unable to code anything in the blank spaces. I wonder if you need to put the module in a certain mode first (I think there was an option for this) or activate something in a different module first?

These are the options I've got, it would be either AGA or M? Any ideas on what one does what? I know it needs to be added on No.5 but can not activate either on that one.
Yes i saw these options there as well, but coding always results in "failure"

Big break through (IMO) for coding devices. Thinkdiag2 CAN do coding on our cars for around $130. If I understand these correctly, you need to renew the software license annually, but for those like me who really want to just code a few things in the instrument cluster, comfort window closing, etc... the one time cost of $130 is a whole lot cheaper than the $800 Launch devices.

The Thinkdiag2 when used with Android OS can do coding on Porsche cars up to and including MY2023, including my 2023 Macan. Now I only have a 2023 Macan to test on but it works just the same as the $800 Launch machines and uses effectively the exact same software. Note this will only work on 2023 cars (I think) with an Android device. I have both an iPhone and an old Pixel 3. With my iPhone the ThinkDiag+ software (Android and iOS) would only pull version 23.xx which was not compatible for coding on my 23 car. However on my Pixel using the same app the app in its software will download Porsche v24.2 which is the latest version that supports 23 MY cars

When I ordered a Launch X431 beginning of this year, their device died completely during setup. Fortunately I ordered it via Ebay, when returning this reseller didn´t want to reimburse the full amount but only about half, but Ebay added the rest (this time). Didn´t try again since then, also because of Porsche warranty issues...eventually using an own Android device provides more recovery options, when crashing...

Quick update:
It’s possible to code the ambient lighting setting to the instrument cluster. This allows you to select the brightness of the ambient lighting manually instead of doing it by holding the roof button. The option is in instrument cluster. And it appears in the interior lighting menu.
Also the wing mirror puddle lights. You can set these to “on” even when folded. This is in the front drivers and passenger door module. You must code both sides for this to work. The puddle lights stay on even when the mirrors are folded.
Still trying to activate the exhaust button. Found a option in rear electronics but I believe there are other modules to code aswell before it will allow activation in the AC module.

thanks for sharing, what does the mirror puddle lights do then? when you lock the car and the mirrors fold in the lights will stay on until the rest of the lights turn off?

There is a lot in the instrument cluster that can be enabled actually here is what I have found so far off the top of my head

Ambient lighting
Overhead light on door open
(more lighting that I can't think of right now)
locking time out (in seconds)
Rain sensor (auto or off)
Shift light recommendation (for fuel economy)
Avg fuel economy (under info screen)
Audio (station list or presets, presets does not appear to work on my 23)
center AC vent cooler
Go Home in Navi screen route selection
G-Force Menu
Performance Menu
Individual Menu

Funny that the horse shoe light does not bother me. However i think i have what you are looking for.
in rear end electronics, roof console parameters, there is an option for Max Brightness. You could drop that and it should drop the horse shoe brightness.
This should not affect the ambient lighting as this is in a different section (interior illumination parameter)

try that and see how it goes!

Interesting notes from trying to enable with 23 Macan and PIWIS 3 41.8

Now my german is nonexistent and I used the google translate camera which was very helpful!

Oil Level segments
coding via Launch search is as follows but I could not find in german
  • Instrument Cluster: Coding Value: Coding byte 2- oil level
  • 1-segment or 4-segments
Enable PSM Sport Mode
can be enabled only via PIWIS. I tried via Launch and the coding would fail
enabled by going through PSM module-->Coding
Coding Value: Byte 09 (Komfortfunktionen) ESP-Taster
my car without Sport Chrono was set to ESP-Taster 1-stufig (Off)
change this to
ESP-Taster 2-stufi (Sport+Off)

Intersection mode set to on fails even though my car has PDLS+

HBA speed setting
Again my german is nonexistent but I did not find any settings under front camera that resembled these
Perhaps with a Launch and being able to search you might be able to find them
Front Camera --> lower_speed_threshold_for_main_beam_on
Front Camera --> lower_speed_threshold_for_main_beam_off

PSE button activation
I assume this can be done via PIWIS but I cannot find the control module that it would be activated from. On Launch it is called Air conditioning and then there is (in german) something like left buttons and right buttons, but on PIWIS I do not see anything that resembles A/C in english or german. Here is screenshots of all of the modules available for selection in PIWIS 3. Anything I am missing that would lead you to A/C?

Stevo i have enabled intersection lighting. It uses the "static cornering lights" these are different to the dynamic cornering lights. these enable when you are stationary or at low speed. My coding of intersection lights worked fine but I had already enabled static cornering lights. So if you enable static cornering lights it should work for you.

Static cornering lights use a small light bulb built into the side of the headlight (not a part of the main light cluster). Once enabled you can test by turning the wheel the one side and it should turn on.

You can also adjust the angle at which It turns on, I believe it is set to 60 degrees or something as default. which I find is fine. But the option is there to adjust for when it turns on and off.

Also I was programming the trunk button delay and the coding was successful but it didn’t seem to actually do anything

Again using Piwis 3 41.8
Stevo i have had this quite a lot and wondering if certain thing can't be activated/changed as of yet because Launch need to update for the latest gen. I have submitted quite a lot of requests to them to see if they will rectify things. will report back when I get a response.
