Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

Definitely. By and large, I really like having DRL's. However, when the light switch is off, I want everything OFF. When you're parked outside some business covered with large/tall windows (like a restaurant), and your SO has run inside to pick something up, I hate having my lights shining inside blinding everyone. OFF means OFF.

If I get time, I definitely will. Otherwise, everything is maintained in this post:

Hey @sterod
I do see the option to change logo for MFD in Launch and Piwis.

But not for PCM Boot screen with either device…..I think it is called a feature, and sticks, with no option to change it …..unless you add new activation code.

Check yours , what version are you in for launch ? Mine is not getting pushed the latest 23.90 for some reason.

In “Parking Brake”, found an option to apply the PB when the the car is shifted to Park.

See any reason why this would not be beneficial enabled ? I use the PB all the time to protect the PDK from roll back.

EDIT, the actual PB options are below...I do not know if ANY work.

Drive away assist without gas
Key out Apply (not apply on Shift to park)
Progressive release
reduce clamp force
Drive away assist
Seat belt buckle detection
Apply due to engine stall
Emerg brake intensity

Can't remember if it's my car, or the wife's car (2019 Cayenne). One, or both, of them applies the brake if a door is open and the transmission is in gear (doesn't matter which happens first). I get it, but it just bugs the crap out of me when I need to just pull the car forward a couple of inches. I've tried to work "release the brake" into my tiny pea brain when I go to move the car with the door open.

Given that I park mostly on fairly level surfaces, I don't think I'd want the brake applying itself every time I park. If your situation is the opposite, then maybe the brake would be a good thing.

I definitely understand, that's why I cut mine off.

I hated the beeps on the hatch, but wanted them to stay on, so I changed the pitch and the tempo. Now, my hatch makes two beeps, one at the start of movement, and one just before it finishes. It's also a lower pitch. Definitely less annoying to me, hopefully less annoying to my neighbors.

Maybe you can change the duration of the lock chirp? Make it so short that it's actually quiet(er).

I just plugged in the x431 and poked around. The only acoustic lock parameter I can see is the one documented way-up above for cutting the chirp off completely (Front-end Electronics). I checked the usual suspects: Gateway, Front-end Elec, Rear Elec, PCM, Instrument Cluster
  • Front-end Electronics: Coding-General-Acoustic feedback for locking (only permitted in North America). Set to No.

Parking brake applied when key out/car shut off and doors locked.

Thanks @Teddis for letting me use his tools and garage space.

Launch could not code the PB module. We kept getting writing failed or something like that.
PIWIS Coded the same function with no issues

95b.1 Macan turbo. parking brake on when key out.

ignore the beep my phone connected to my wifi.

- Foglights on with welcome/leaving home lights

Awesome

How about you guys figure this one out:
  • 2021 Macan with PDLS+
  • I have lights that turn on to light the side I‘m turning towards (one light at a time)
  • Both of those lights turn on for “intersection lighting”
  • How do I tell the car to use those as fog lights (so I can turn them on with the headlight switch)? They cast a low and wide beam, so they are perfect for fog lights

Also - how can I turn on both of the rear fog lights?

:)

Okay, new owner/forum member who just slugged through 31 pages of this thread. Now I have a couple of questions. My last car was a BMW340. Coding it was easy and cheap. BimmerCode app and a $40 Bluetooth OBD device and my phone. I don’t suppose there is an app I can use with that same OBD device? I’d sure hate to spend $900 on a launch unnecessarily.

Second, early in this thread, someone remarked about how easy it was to code an Audi. Can you point me to THAT? My wife has one and she really wants to make some changes not in the manual. I tried looking around, but apparently did not phrase my questions properly to my search engine.

And thanks for putting that google sheet together. It gives me a good starting point for when I do get to work.

Is it possible to make the tires show temperature as well as pressure (the Bimmer had this feature, and I liked it).It seems like something you would find on a 911/Cayman, but it would make sense if they just reused the same components.

My wife’s MB has that and I like it. To my knowledge, in the Gen1’s you can’t do that. If I’m wrong, someone tell me ASAP.

DRL (4-point LED or quad-LED) will turn off when headlights are on. For anyone interested in turning on DRL while headlights are on… here is what you need to modify:

In Rear Electronics,

Codiertabelle: Exterior Lighting: DD lights as marker light = YES

Image

DRL (4-point LED) will turn on with headlights on at that point, but dimmed.

You can change dimming value here:

Exterior Lights Parameters: Dimming Value for DD as marker light = xxx%

I set mine to 100% for full intensity….

This is the result…

This is cool...for some reason....I do not have the below available to me in Launch I hacve checked (Ver 23.82 and 23.90)
Codiertabelle: Exterior Lighting: DD lights as marker light = YES

I do have the dimming parameter.........

Also, looking at the spreadsheet, I was able to add the gforce meter to my keys, but from the spreadsheet i wasn't able to find
Board computer menu configuration byte 4-G-Force. Any ideas where else this could be (I was able to enable expert view). I can see the settings in the keys.

If you look closely inside the spreadsheet, it tells you that this requires additional coding. Look at the purple sections, there are 2 for this feature.

"Enable the G-Force menu (requires additional coding)"

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and 8 month old Macan S 2018 owner.
I've started using Piwis3 to do some light coding in normal mode such as interior light package and PSE, all was fine.

Now when I want to use the Engineering mode, I can not seem to figure out what I am doing wrong. I changed the mode to E in the menu and now I want to do the modifications from post 256:
(1) Kombinstrument: Dimmung - allegemeine Konfiguration: Konfiguration zentrales Zifferblatt Weiss = ja {Instrument cluster: dimming - general configuration: configuration central dial white = yes}
(2) Kombinstrument: Dimmung - allgemeine Konfiguration: Konfiguration alle Zifferblatter Weiss = ja {Instrument cluster: dimming - general configuration: configuration of all dials white = yes}

I have attached some photos, so after selecting Kombiinstrument --> Manual coding without coding rules (development) --> scroll down to Dimmung - allegemeine Konfiguration --> F12 Next --> I always get the screen from my last photo with "no entries set" message. So I just can not go further to find "Konfiguration zentrales Zifferblatt Weiss = ja" and "Konfiguration alle Zifferblatter Weiss = ja". No matter what I select from the list like "Bordcomputer Menukonfiguration" or other, the message is the same, "no entries set" on the next screen. If someone can help with some info, what am I doing wrong?

Thank you !

Looks like you have PIWIS 39.x or an early version of 40, where manual coding doesn't work properly. What exact version do you have?

By the way - you have definitely/properly enabled engineering mode, as you see all the text in German, but menus are in English.

Hi and first of all, thank you for your reply.
I have 40.400. The procedure for E mode was :
Go to Home->System->Diagnostic configuration for 991, 981, 918, 970, Cayenne from MY11, Macan
Go to Mode tab
Set Operating Mode to E

I also did it here:
Go to Home->System->Diagnostic configuration for other models-> Mode->Operate Mode->E (Engineer Mode)->Save

So basically the versions I have and not good? And I just can not use them for "manual coding without rules"?

Thanks

I also have 39.500, activated E mode as specified above, the attached images appear, but still not what I am searching for.
Also, right after diagnostics tab (model line detection), I see the image as per the last attached picture where I can select Cajunall or OBD_CAN, no idea what these mean. This happens in both 40.400 and 39.500.

So basically the versions I have and not good? And I just can not use them for "manual coding without rules"?

Thanks

Check with where you got the VM/image, but I think 40.6xx is where they figured out how to restore coding capabilities to PIWIS.
