So I do understand that, so my question would then be.. How did I perform 3 launch’s without chrono

I don't know but I sport+ mode is well worth it.

I got to hang out for a bit with a fellow forum member last weekend and we ended up taking his Turbo PP for a ride we got on the subject of launch control and he decided to give it a go and you definitely know when you get it right turbos spooled up bouncing off the rev limiter at 5,500 and bang **** did that thing put me back in my seat. To the OP my understanding is rev limiter is higher and so is boost but they may be the result of the RPMs and there is of course the other advantages that come with being in Sport+ mode. Sport+ can be added after the fact you will keep your clock and I am fairly certain I read when adding after the factory the launch control rev limiter is slightly lower at 5,000 RPMs.

I have launch control, but a couple of times it hasn’t worked. Is there a minimum run time or engine temp for it to work? Both times were after the car had been off for a couple hours and then running for maybe 10 minutes. Maybe TPMS needs readings. Just trying to figure this out. Any ideas?

There's a whole big thread about it, but your car must be completely warmed up (and I can't define that any better), you must be in Sport+, you must step hard on the brake pedal, and you must floor the gas pedal completely.

It's fine before but now l couldn't rev more than 2000(should be 3200rpm on S model),anyone with similar problem? I was getting pedal/throttle position sensor code but now it's gone....bad gas pedal???

It is a good way to shorten the life of the already troublesome, and expensive, PDK transmission.

It has to be equipped with the “sport chrono” package.

Great question. My guess is not too many as LC on a base does 0-100 KPH in 6.6 seconds. Hardly worth checking that box. But it does come standard on the T, even though it has the same engine as a base. It's crazy that they still make it an option on a GTS. Should come standard as you def want it on that engine.
