Flat black rear deck lettering

Was surfing the other night and found something that may interest some.

https://www.porscheatlantaperimeter...ntaperimeterparts.com/products/Porsche/Macan/NAMEPLATE/11678967/95B853675D.html

I called there this morning and was told the lettering is flat black and not gloss black. He did mention the word 'turbo' only comes in gloss black.

I'm not overly confident this is the case. However, I am seriously considering this move since I want to get rid of the bright chrome look.

Anyone else see this and have any first hand experience here?

Thanks SCS5. I've used custom painted Bumper Plugs before to cover drilled holes in my front bumper. I've also used iND with a very high-level of success. I wanted to make my 650 unique. So, I purchased a set of kidney grills and surrounds. You can see the end result in the sideways pic. I had them also paint the side reflectors imola red as well. GREAT paint work.

I'm getting an idea. BTW, I got a call back from a Porsche dealership (earlier post). Guy gave pricing for the letters. It was way more expensive than Suncoast Porsche.

I'll reach out to BP's and iND. I want to get this done but not for $500+.

I seem to recall that about a year ago, Porsche added an option for badging in gloss black. That option is reflected on the 2018 configurator, so it should be available from the dealership. However I also see that the current parts catalog on the USA website does not show a part number for gloss black badging yet. Not surprising as the published parts catalogs are typically out-of-date. I would think the guys at the dealership parts counter could look it up. Perhaps the only question then is price comparison to someplace like Bumperplugs, or what's available on eBay.

Not difficult at all. Warm the lettering with a hair dryer; use dental floss to separate the glued-on lettering from the body panel; gently rub off the adhesive residue off with your finger; use some alcohol, or GooGone (wear rubber gloves), or light polishing compound for any remaining residue. That's it. The video below can help you visualize the steps.

....SoCal... did you used to post on the Maserati Forum ?.....I think I'll be debadging... at least the Macan S part...maybe the PORSCHE too....
Have done some posting on Audi Forums, but not on a Maserati Forum.

You might want to leave the PORSCHE badging. The tailgate looks a bit empty with no badging.....but it's all personal preference.

Can anyone definitively state the letters in the word PORSCHE are the same size for every Porsche vehicle (911, Cayman, Cayenne, etc)? Also, the word TURBO (on the 911 Turbo for example). Is that word also the same size regardless of the Porsche vehicle?

I can almost piecemeal gloss black lettering for PORSHE and the word TURBO, but still no luck on the word MACAN in gloss black. Someone made a suggestion of buying the flat black MACAN and spray it with a gloss clearcoat.
