My center driver's console (where the speedometer is) displays the correct time but the time and date on my PCM is incorrect and I cant figure out how to change it. Anyone know how to do this and why the two times aren't synced?

Exactly how much difference is there between the times on the MFD and the PCM? Do you have navigation? And I was not aware that date displayed on the PCM (although I never looked hard to see if it could be).

I don't recall how to do this, but you need to tell the car to use Satellite time.

I had this "mismatched times" occur also when I first picked up my car back in June ... looks like I mentioned it on page 9 of the "Early Problems with your Macan" thread.

Its been resolved, but I can't recall how/what I did. My guess is that I went through the controls and made sure that the time was set correctly (including year) ... might have purposefully bumped the minute counter just to make sure that the time setting did change.

I have the same problem. I don't have infotainment/Navi.

The time is off by like 8 hrs.

My 'fix' was to change the time on PCM to display temperature.

I don't need 3 locations telling me the time :)

That said, I'm going to ask on my first service.

Interesting. I have the nav system and the vehicle just acquires the correct date and time from the GPS satellites, and all you have to do is turn DST on and off at the appropriate times. Works like a charm. Folks who trash "Infotainment" should take note. >:D

That's a given fact for nav/GPS. A $100 GPS unit does it from day 1.

I don't see the need to spend $3k to save myself the one-time step of setting the clock...lol

I dont have NAV. The year is also incorrect. The only way I know to change date is through the driver's instrument cluster. I couldnt figure a way of changing through PCM. Will check if it can be done through instrument cluster.

I figured it out. You have to change to the correct year through drivers console and everything will be kosher.
