There's a new kid on the block

£214.78 21%OFF | ISUDAR Carplay Module For Porsche/Panamera/Cayenne/Macan/Cayman/Boxster 911 718 PCM 3.1 Android Auto AI Box Camera Multimedia

Thoughts? Looks like the external box is not a requirement and it now has DSP and apparently improves on audio.

No issues with AUX BT so far with Ebilaen/Isudar module. It seems to work very well with no interference. I have left my AUX BT on for more than a week now and no issues. I don’t intend to turn it off and I’m actually leaving it as an option.
Question - did you get interference/hissing in standard form using intended Aux? I'm trying to remember if I always had interference/hissing prior to modifying cable to route audio via aux to usb adaptor.

I know factory AUX setup (when not using CP module aux) there is zero interference/hissing. But I can't for the life of me remember if I had the issue before I messed with wiring.

I'm starting to think the solution is to disconnect the ground wire going to the CP module board, only because the interference/hissing starts when car is started and changes pitch with AC fans switching on.

Quick question- I have a NetworkWWS adapter which has decent sound quality (for those of you with buzzing, make sure you don't have a loop in your wiring around anything that carries power as this will cause alternator whine) but no support of track skip/advance in either AA or Carplay. I was wondering if this single-board iSudar setup supports the PCM buttons on the faceplate for controlling audio sources via Carplay/AA. I know Joyeauto does. Also, for those of you on Android, I have an AAWireless adapter that plugs into the USB port, and one feature it has is 'BT audio sink' which reroutes audio from Android Auto to A2DP Bluetooth audio. In its current state it does not pass along Google Assistant or Maps voice prompts but they say they'll look into it. I will keep people posted on progress if that is of interest. Thanks!
Yes you can control from PCM3.1 to skip tracks etc..

The white noise and interference noise videos are here:

One video is with android auto connected via USB cable, I get a white noise but only at close to max volume 80%+.

The other video is android auto connected wireless, you can hear the WiFi interference, mostly noticable at volumes 60%+.

Not sure if it's the wiring or something I have missed.

I saw on Rennlist they responded earlier this month on a new firmware update, but the .rar file is no good. Went to their website, which has a different .rar file name, it also doesn't work.

Google drive update with a video showing how to update system: Carplay PCM 3.1 升级文件 - Google Drive
Their own download/update page: Updated Firmwares

When trying to unzip either file, it gives an archive error.

Unit was ordered a month ago, so I assume it has the latest board. Here's the "about system" info:

It seems like all the threads about isudar volume just died and haven't had responses in years. iSudar hasn't responded to the ones that are relevetively recent. There's a thread on Rennlist, but they haven't responded to it since the beginning of the month. All the usual things have been done on the phone, but the CarPlay volume whether tethered via USB or wirelessly is maxed to 40, but is still really, really low. Anybody get it sorted out or is everyone just dealing with low volume levels when connected to their phone?
Is this pcm volume? Or carplay volume? You can also increase max volume of aux in pcm settings.

Strictly CarPlay volume whether tethered via USB or bluetooth. If I go back to the radio as the source, the volume there works fine. The AUX volume has been maxed in the iSudar settings. Every other feature works as it should, I don't have any of the other quirky issues I see people having with back-up cameras, connectivity, etc....it just has low volume when using Carplay as the source.
Then check pcm settings, in the area were you can enable disable aux or aux BT you can also increase the max levels to make it louder and closer to your other volumes such as radio etc
