It just doesn't make sense to me on an SUV, they look great and to each their own but if you can afford to put PCCB on a Macan you should be able to afford a 911 or Cayman to go with it IMO.

I don't have PCCB brakes on my Macan but, I do think that many like me , can afford a 911 but chose a Macan for it's functional space. Some wanted PCCB and others didn't . I always find it interesting that cost is related to a want for a 911 . That's cool but I want a Macan even though I can afford a 911 .

Just a different perspective

100% agree, same as you where I can afford a 911 but I need the SUV for practicality and I like the Macan more than a cayenne.

I don't either get this comment about the Macan vs 911. Why comparing a Macan with a 911? Two different cars for two different purposes.

If you really want a 911 in the first place but get a Macan as a compromise I would recommend to look at the second hand 911 market instead. Buy yourself one of the first 991.1 or even a 997.2. The Macan is no 911 and never will be.

Everytime somone with a Cayenne or Macan orders PCCB, the accountants in the back office go .... Kaching. The marketing guys go Kaching Kaching!:laugh:

And when they are ordered on the sports cars BOTH those guys go Kaching, Kaching, Kaching :laugh::laugh: Because they know they not only sold them for the upfront cost but the owners will be buying steel when they chip one. :crying: The parts guys love those cars.

Porsche sure is smart :)

And who cares the most and seem to be most bothered? Those who never will order PCCB anyway :D

I love the yellow calipers and slotted and drilled rotors. I'd get 'em if I had an extra spare eight grand lying around.
@MDJAK Ummm... You'd have an extra $8K if you custom ordered and weren't on your 3rd car in a year... Just sayin'... 0:)

You didn't get my check yet ? :)

Oh I did but it bounced like one of them old Superballs.

Nah, nothing to do with that, RJ. Maybe if I didn't buy a drone for 3k, and a Kranzle pressure washer for $1500, and a new sofa for $7,000, and just send my daughter a few thou, and give my son spending money for Bermuda and moving expenses and -- oh, you get the point. And we know me well enough. Even if I custom ordered, as many here, and I have @Luke in mind, I probably still wouldn't have been happy.

And as another concrete example, @thkemp has spent untold dollars on his LeBaron with vinyl roof ;)
And just what the H E double toothpicks is so funny?

Well M, you had to buy the drone. How else would you do flyover videos of your 3 Macans? The pressure washer was a must to protect your delicate hands during your daily car washes. The sofa makes perfect sense. It would be absurd to have to stand while admiring how great your freshly washed Macan looks. I assume at only $7K, it must be outdoor furniture? >:D

As far as the kids? Well, I've heard they are precious and well worth any price. I don't see it myself, but I've heard "they" say this. YMMV. 0:)

When I was shopping for my first Macan, I came across a CPO car at Porsche North Houston that checked all the boxes except it had PCCB. Decided to pass as I heard the prices for pads and rotors are completely off the charts and the rotors are easily damaged.

Thought this video would be interesting to anyone considering PCCB. While I don’t believe a PCCB brake job on a Macan is quite $15k, the cost is way way up there. Apparently this is one of the techs at Stevenson in the Denver area.
