Hi I'm Leyth new to the form, I got a pre owned 2015 Porsche Macan S with PDK Transmission 2 years ago with about 100,000Km on the dash.
All service history was available, and the car run fine with all the features.
I run into a leak in one of the radiator hoses, when took the car to my local garage, as its it not under warranty any more, and unfortunately we have one Porsche dealer in the country, which makes it a bit expensive to have them do the repairs.
The local garage which has experience with Porsches has noticed ware in the engine gaskets and other consumables items and advised me to change them, as I agreed, he also added that as I'm at about 130,000km on the dash it would be better to change the PDK Transmission Fluid.
I got all genuine Porsche parts including the PDK Fluid, he did all replacements and changed the PDK Fluid.
I got the car back drove it for about 150km and got a message saying to fill up the engine oil, so I did and spoke to the mechanic about it, and was asked to get the car back to him in couple of days, and just refill the oil as it requests it.
I kept the driving to a minimum, once I took the car to fill the engine oil I get engine lights "yellow" came on with these two faults both yellow:
1.) Transm. Fault poss. No R gear drive on poss. " 2nd, 3rd, 6th, R available"
2.) Fault engine control possible to drive on.
Meaning the car went into Limp Mode, as I turned the car off and on the fault magically disappeared, as soon as I was on my way to the garage turned the car off before the journey as I turned it on get the fault again.
Told the mechanic about the issue he said we will check it, got a call a couple of days later from him, saying the the leaks have been repaired, but nothing he could do about the Transmission as he doesn't have good knowledge in the PDK transmission.
So drove the car for a couple of days trying to figure out what could the issue be, so I noticed as the engine oil goes above 110c and I turn the car off and on the fault would disappear, whenever the temp is under 110c the fault presets. "I actually couldn't get the fault to go away anymore as the engine temps don't go above 100c now as the weather is starting to cool down".
Got an OBD reader, used it and got these error codes: p0778 which leads to a Pressure Control Solenoid, and P0700 which leads to a Transmission Control System Malfunction.
Note: the gears don't feel clunky or lagy and the changes are smooth, I don't feel any issues with the clutches.
I did some research on the error code and it could be 1 out of 5 things technically from a faulty senser to a faulty Transmission.
But I have a theory, after I did investigate with the mechanic I felt a hesitation in his voice when I asked if he recalibrated the transmission after the fluid change "I don't think he did it".
So my theory is if I recalibrate the PDK flush all the faults will the issue go away, or reset the PDK somehow so it can recalibrate.
Any ideas any one faced this issue or something similar.
