Negative RJMc, I'm 160 miles east of The MetroMess, aka DFW.
@NETX Oh well, that sucks then. Oahu is only 70 miles around, but I wouldn't be surprised if you could drive to your dealer and back before I could drive around the island. Maybe take the little missus out for dinner in DFW and just happen to stop by to pick up the shade? ;)

Ordered CoverCraft today (UVS100). It's hard to find a good folded sunshade...

It seems like I will be getting the first batch (eta July 20)

Thx for the update Enilder, your feedback after receipt will be useful.

I called the nearest P car dealer to me (Bossier City LA) and the parts guy claimed that he didn't see a part # for one.

Anyone know w/ a certainty if the one sold by SunCoast is a Porsche OEM product?

@NETX Yes, I know for certainty. I ended up getting mine at the dealer after Suncoast quoted me ~$100 just for shipping. It was listed in an accessories catalog sitting on the counter.

If SunCoast would get reasonable on their shipping I would have one as well.

Until then I'll wait to see what CoverCraft comes up with & YMMV as always.
For that same reason I called my local dealer first as I thought they would have them in stock. Not only they didn't have it, but the parts guy on the phone said he couldn't find it in the system to order, which I found unbelievable... So had to pay the shipping...

Thx for confirming that Mc., thinking I'll end up w/ the CoverCraft variant.

The small incompetent dealer I called must be a doeppleganger to the one you contacted skierdude.

Well it's becoming toasty here in Tejas, so I ordered the CoverCraft but now they are showing 8 Aug. as their *anticipated* ship date, geez.

That said I bought el cheapo version locally just to protect the leather on my dash until the delivery from CC. So much for my *buy once, cry once* mantra, c'est la vie as they say one state east of me.

Getting Toasty Here So .........

Any more feedback skierdude or WHT TGR re. the SunCoast sunshade?
Fit, quality etc. & any idea if this a Porsche OEM product?

Asking as CoverCraft is very close to SunCoast in pricing + CoverCraft won't be shipping until early Aug. so there is that.

I bought the Porsche shade as well. Its a hard core (press board?) folded shade with a moderately reflective surface on the front (nice Porsche emblem) and a dark thin cloth edging / backing. Its not bad.....but not perfect.

The shade has cutouts for the mirror assembly and is held in place solely by the sun visors. While its cut to shape for the Macan, the fit is a bit loose and you get a gap top / bottom and both sides. Not big gaps.

What I don't like, is its a bit heavy and unwieldy to get unfolded or refolded in the car. I had a "soft" foam core sunshade for my last car.... and the bit of bending you could do with it really helped manage it inside the car. The reflective material is ok, but still absorbs quite a bit of solar heat and is HOT at the end of the day. Again, previous sun shade only used to get warm, but was made out of a more reflective material.

Thx for the detailed feedback TripleZ, exactly what I was looking for.

Almost dropped the hammer on the SC shade last nite but will stay the course w/ the cheap version I currently have & wait to receive the CoverCraft model in Aug.

I like the Porsche shade overall. The only thing I don't like it's that the outside surface gets really hot to the touch when you folding it back. More so then the cheapo ones. However I think it does a better job at keeping the heat out than the cheap versions.

Got my CoverCraft. I underestimated this sunshade. I think this is the best one I've owned so far and don't mind spending extra to get this. If you haven't gotten a sunshade, get this.

I got the Suncoast one. It is obnoxious with the Porsche logo on it, absolutely pretentious and I absolutely LOVE it >:D In fact, it is a toss up between nose in so everyone can see her ass or ass in so everyone can see the obnoxious sunshade :)

LOL :D
