Rust on Brake Discs

Does anyone else have this rust issue on the brake discs after rain?

Even after braking which rubs off any rust buildup on the discs, there is still remaining rust residue that I have to remove by hand. If that's normal, what's a good way to effectively to clean it?

Then on the inner side of the brake discs (in the second picture), it looks like rust build up and I've tried to just rub it off and it hasn't worked. Is that normal or am I just being too obsessive compulsive here.

Thanks!

The rust will eventually wear off through normal use. It also helps to drive the car a short distance after washing the car, so the brakes can dry off before rust starts to occur.

As everyone else pointed out. They tend to get that rust after a rain or a wash (if you don't drive after).
Just drive it and let the pads do their work.

As everyone else said, that's normal. Regular driving will take care of he rust . . . until the next time you wash.

Just browsing around some inventories and found a few:

Did yours show up like above during delivery?

Not looking for a car btw, just browsing and noticed.

I found a lot of new Alfa Stelvios sitting in the lot with the same issue.

This thread seems to have lived its usefulness.

There is no issue with the oxidation forming on the brake discs/rotors.

It is normal behavior.

It will occur just from the moisture in the air.

For those really bothered, see the Porsche option sheet and obtain carbon/ceramic brake rotors and
associated calipers & pads.

Hi guys,

just took delivery of Macan 2 weeks ago. At the showroom there were rust on the disc brakes and wheel hubs, my salesperson said that they will go away after some usage. While the rust on the disc breaks did go away, I think the rust on the wheel hubs are not coming off.

Can I get some feedbacks whether the rust will come off or should I go back to my sales and ask them to fix the hubs.

btw, the rust on appears on the 2 rear wheels.
