Yeah, the older models need a different button block with the right keys (awful lot of versions, for right and left).
The newer ones have this universal touch panel. Not used keys are simply not visible due to missing illumination, but this can be activated, as well as the switch function itself, as I temporarly did to try out Ionization...but that works also for non-installed functions...

- Still needed is an updated parts list covering models from 2019 onwards!!!

(To activate the Ionizer there are some nitty gritty components necessary, like high voltage cables, eventually Ionizer-heads for both vent sides and the high voltage module mentioned above. With the right parts numbers one look out for inexpensive spares...

No wonder, found out that the ionisator was only offered since production year 2019. This is also the reason for missing Macan parts for it in the web, since all public parts lists' based offerings I found are based 2018 latest...time for an update, anybody have a newer one for the forum???
I've made some research, found it in parts catalog but didn't find wiring diagram. Also it will be hard to retrofit it gen1 as there is no such option so at least a/c unit need to be programmed (not sure if it ill work), for gen2 it will be simpler (just coding from SW side)

Hi all, sorry I have gone thru 27 pages of info here and trying to compile something for myself to enable high beam assist/pdls+ on a 2020 Macan with piwis.
Currently car has PR code 8G0 (without light assist) and I have 2 options, 8G1 and 8G2.
The headlights are 8IT - LED headlamps.
I was hoping these headlamps will meet the requirement to enable it.
Question is, do I enable 8G1 or 8G2 and then just autocode the front camera, kombi, pcm and bcm1?
Thank you

You can go to each module -> manual coding and check if 8g1 can be coded, for gen1 it's front camera, gateway, instrument cluster and headlight

thanks for sharing, what does the mirror puddle lights do then? when you lock the car and the mirrors fold in the lights will stay on until the rest of the lights turn off?

There is a lot in the instrument cluster that can be enabled actually here is what I have found so far off the top of my head

Ambient lighting
Overhead light on door open
(more lighting that I can't think of right now)
locking time out (in seconds)
Rain sensor (auto or off)
Shift light recommendation (for fuel economy)
Avg fuel economy (under info screen)
Audio (station list or presets, presets does not appear to work on my 23)
center AC vent cooler
Go Home in Navi screen route selection
G-Force Menu
Performance Menu
Individual Menu
Where is the individual menu?

For some reason, I can't find the individual menu activation using launch x431

Thanks all, bought the regular Otofix D1 and was able to enable Sport Plus in my non Sport Plus car, through the joker button, including launch control. Also automatic mirrors folding in, and opening and closing windows through the remote control.

there is an option under exterior lights, and look for sidemarker lights. you can disable it completely. i found it last week and its completely disabled now
Ok, which option did You select? I found only option for front lights, but rear lights in bumper still are switched on with Low Beams.

which year do you have?

the option is marked sidemarker so it cant be missed actually
Model Year 2017 ('16 production).
In front BCM i found such option, but it switch off only front sidemarkers: it was "Coding value - Aussenbeleuchtung Seitenmarkierungsleuchten verbaut "
For rear ones I don't found it yet.

Other options which I found, but not tested, including my expected functionality
Coding value - Aussenbeleuchtung SML-Funktion an Ausgang Nebellicht - Fog light as Marking light?
CodingValue.Aussenbeleuchtung_SML_in_LED ??
Coding value - Aussenbeleuchtung SML mitblinkend ??

@VR00M5 @Phil Twelve That's right - in the rear bumper for US version are installed markers too.
Maybe in Your nomenclature it should be named in different way, but anyways, how to switch it off in smart/elegant way? I don't want to but there heater... eghm... the "CAN-BUS-Resisitor" ;)
Not sure why you're looking to turn off a safety feature.

Just because this is last point (in terms of lights) which differs my car from EU-region car. I used it outside of USA so this feature is not necessary for me.
Safety feature? Could be. I'm just curious how to disable it 😉
