BoooooM !!!! now to find this in LAUNCH
Way to go Run buh and SANTRIX !!!
Yeah, way to go folks.

Now, I don't mean to sound like a Luddite or something -- okay, I don't really care how I sound -- but is this (these steps, these internal function names, etc.) something that I can show to my local P-car dealership, and pay them to do this for me? Or does this require my buying (or somehow borrowing) a special device, one they won't have, to hook up to the car and do this myself?

Put another way, I've been following this thread, but I don't have any prior knowledge of any of the equipment or procedures (although I was a computer software geek in a prior life). For instance, I wouldn't know a "Launch" from a "Lunch."

FYI, I tried enabling the Byte4-intersection lighting and when I did I immediately got the following error message on the cluster "Headlight range regulation defective. Service required"

Even after I disabled it and power cycled the car, the error came back. Ultimately I had to use the "special features" section of the LAUNCH to perform a headlight range adjustment and also wipe the error DTC.

My 2018 S is equipped with Bi-Xenon PDLS. I have GPS (Navigation) so I'm wondering if its a hardware problem because I don't have LKA (Lane Keep Assist) which may be the camera the intersection lighting needs.

I think that video is with Bi Xenon and H8 static cornering bulbs, same as what Sterod captured.

What is the range before the intersection they trigger .....in feet.....I realize some of the NAV data may not be super accurate.....so this distance could vary.

Okay so the intersection lighting does work on my car. Although I still got the error when I enabled it again, this time I left it enabled and ran the special function to do the headlight range adjustment. After it cleared the DTC, the error did not come back, So for my Bi-Xenon's I can tell you that little bulb does both duties, it is the bulb that illuminates when I turn the steering wheel for cornering and it is also the bulb that illuminates when I approach an intersection.

It's in there, I saw it. Check the Front End Electronics section. This may be one that requires "online" coding if its not already enabled, meaning it has to be purchased and installed with a PIWIS connected to Porsche HQ. My S has this and I love this feature, light steering at low speeds, heavy at higher.

There are lots of threads about using PIWIS and other devices to turn OFF Power Steering Plus. There are no threads showing how to successfully turn it on without paying for the upgrade.

Bought it, had to get a code from Porsche:

Buy it:
*Must include VIN with order.
**No physical parts are provided with this item - it is an Enable Code that is generated from your VIN and must be installed/uploaded to your vehicle at your local Porsche dealership. (contact them for additional labor charges)

Buy It:
Professional installation required by an authorized Porsche dealer. Make sure your VIN number is 100% accurate (if it's wrong, you've wasted your money). This kit is not returnable under any circumstance. Fits all Macan models without Power Steering Plus (option 1N3).
