Has anyone been successful in modifying the coding for LKA, dash lights or adaptive braking, etc on a 2022 or later Macan. I have been told by multiple sources that Porsche has locked these codes down beginning in 2022. They tell me the codes are visible but can not be changed. This includes using PIWIS, Launch, etc.
if you have been successful please let us know what codes you were able to modify, what model and year, what equipment was used, etc.
Just received that Launch CRP919X and it works!
After 2 system and some 93 car SW updates it loaded Porsche version 24.23, claiming to contain updates til '23 models.
So far so good.
After reading out an bunch of error codes (which I have to check in detail),
I tried some easy-win ECU coding items and was partially successfull.
- Fortunately the acoustic seat belt warning could be disabled (I have grown up driving buckled up!).
- Same for white dial lights permanent illumination and 4 bars oil level display.
- Expert mode enabled, nice.
+/- Tailgate switches activation delay increased from 100 to 1000ms worked as well, but only for the tailgate's wiper button, door and fob knobs still react immediately.
All set as described before in the thread.
>>>Reducing the fob button sensitivity for the hatch was one of my main goals, still looking for a SW solution, instead of mechanically reducing the button sensivity!!!
Not working was the essential
- Start/Stop last mode. Searching for the key words in the Instrument Cluster section brought up 2 settings, but none of them could be altered with the CRP919X.
Interesting was the fact that the labeling was "Shutdown" as default and "Open" as new value, instead of the previously mentioned label "Active".
I think this has to do with the new touch button console, it is simply differently coded and Launch did not fully implement it so far in their Porsche SW24.23.
The rest of the coding items was somehow related to the assignment of the functions to the panel location.
Anyway, maybe Launch ECU coding for some Cayenne or other models with touch panel is already more advanced and a solution can be found there...
In general I can say after some few hours, the CRP919X seems to be a reasonable alternative to the genuine X431. After all I am happy for my bad luck ordering the defective X431 and returning it in January. Looks like Launch tester prices are under pressure, more functionality in cheaper HW + better price in case of the CRP919X.
Will keep it.
