@TigerMac and @Sammy - can you update the Google spreadsheet with your recent discoveries?

And for anyone experimenting with Launch and their Gen 2/3, if you could find out how to activate HBA at lower speeds, I would love to hear about it. it's easy to do on Gen 1, but the same coding is not there for Gen 2/3.

do you know the coding value for the gen 1?
from what ive seen all the configurations for lighting is in the front and rear electronics and not the headlight module. Can have a look and see what i can find.

Quick update:
It’s possible to code the ambient lighting setting to the instrument cluster. This allows you to select the brightness of the ambient lighting manually instead of doing it by holding the roof button. The option is in instrument cluster. And it appears in the interior lighting menu.
Also the wing mirror puddle lights. You can set these to “on” even when folded. This is in the front drivers and passenger door module. You must code both sides for this to work. The puddle lights stay on even when the mirrors are folded.
Still trying to activate the exhaust button. Found a option in rear electronics but I believe there are other modules to code aswell before it will allow activation in the AC module.
@Sammy did you happen to take a picture of this paramater...I cannot seem to find it.....some launch versions are different it seems, thanks !

Pretty sure I got this originally from @Teddis and @Kapetajr.

Front Camera --> lower_speed_threshold_for_main_beam_on
Front Camera --> lower_speed_threshold_for_main_beam_off

The exact names may be different, but if you search for "beam" or "threshold" in Front Camera, you'll see them.

Thanks @caglenator !
Pretty sure @sierra was the first to enable HBA via Launch. It is in this thread.....what he did.
I was just re-reading through all the pages and these are the steps for enabling HBA
  • Instrument Cluster:
    • Warning Lamps - Indicator lamps coding - high beam assistant: on
    • Board computer display configuration key 1 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
    • Board computer display configuration key 2 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
    • Board computer display configuration key 3 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
    • Board computer display configuration key 4 - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
    • Board computer display configuration factory setting - BC configuration byte 13 - high beam assistant: on
    • Board computer menu configuration 2 - Board computer menu configuration 2 byte 0 - high beam assistant: actuated
  • Front Camera:
    • Kodierwert/Kodierwert - P150_Ansteuerung Ladedrucksteller Bank 2-AFS_coding_Light_Assist: high_beam_assist
  • Front-end Electronics:
    • Extended codings/Extended codings - FLA codings - High beam assistant (FLA) present: yes

Thats correct, just a manual adjustment of all ambient lighting.
I found this in IC @Sammy , enabled it. it is now selectable in MFD. However changing the % from 0 to 80 to whatever.....is not changing the ambient light intensity has to be another parameter needed....

Is yours working ??

Interesting notes from trying to enable with 23 Macan and PIWIS 3 41.8

Now my german is nonexistent and I used the google translate camera which was very helpful!

Oil Level segments
coding via Launch search is as follows but I could not find in german
  • Instrument Cluster: Coding Value: Coding byte 2- oil level
  • 1-segment or 4-segments
Enable PSM Sport Mode
can be enabled only via PIWIS. I tried via Launch and the coding would fail
enabled by going through PSM module-->Coding
Coding Value: Byte 09 (Komfortfunktionen) ESP-Taster
my car without Sport Chrono was set to ESP-Taster 1-stufig (Off)
change this to
ESP-Taster 2-stufi (Sport+Off)

Intersection mode set to on fails even though my car has PDLS+

HBA speed setting
Again my german is nonexistent but I did not find any settings under front camera that resembled these
Perhaps with a Launch and being able to search you might be able to find them
Front Camera --> lower_speed_threshold_for_main_beam_on
Front Camera --> lower_speed_threshold_for_main_beam_off

PSE button activation
I assume this can be done via PIWIS but I cannot find the control module that it would be activated from. On Launch it is called Air conditioning and then there is (in german) something like left buttons and right buttons, but on PIWIS I do not see anything that resembles A/C in english or german. Here is screenshots of all of the modules available for selection in PIWIS 3. Anything I am missing that would lead you to A/C?

Also I was programming the trunk button delay and the coding was successful but it didn’t seem to actually do anything

Again using Piwis 3 41.8

And you won't for your car. Gen2/3 do not have this setting. From what I've been reading, Audi's went through a similar change of coding, and now you have to change the programming (not simple coding) on their headlights in order to change this setting. That's not something I plan to monkey with.

BOOOOO. yeah agreed, unless someone has the exact values, I'm not interested in messing around

Can not find the coding either. I do not do much night time driving a when I do its city driving. Do the gen 2/3 have the speed limit on them? From what I can see from the spec's is this is no longer the case.

I was playing around with the ambient lighting brightness but didn’t notice anything changing. Do you?

Orientation light seems to change the brightness of the lights in the door pockets
I have just checked and it does not work, maybe another setting needs activation.
Also the performance screen does not work. it should be showing an orange spot (like the g-force screen). so there must be other options that need activating to enable this as well.

Stevo i have had this quite a lot and wondering if certain thing can't be activated/changed as of yet because Launch need to update for the latest gen. I have submitted quite a lot of requests to them to see if they will rectify things. will report back when I get a response.

Stevo i have enabled intersection lighting. It uses the "static cornering lights" these are different to the dynamic cornering lights. these enable when you are stationary or at low speed. My coding of intersection lights worked fine but I had already enabled static cornering lights. So if you enable static cornering lights it should work for you.

Static cornering lights use a small light bulb built into the side of the headlight (not a part of the main light cluster). Once enabled you can test by turning the wheel the one side and it should turn on.

You can also adjust the angle at which It turns on, I believe it is set to 60 degrees or something as default. which I find is fine. But the option is there to adjust for when it turns on and off.
