When I ordered a Launch X431 beginning of this year, their device died completely during setup. Fortunately I ordered it via Ebay, when returning this reseller didn´t want to reimburse the full amount but only about half, but Ebay added the rest (this time). Didn´t try again since then, also because of Porsche warranty issues...eventually using an own Android device provides more recovery options, when crashing...

Quick update:
It’s possible to code the ambient lighting setting to the instrument cluster. This allows you to select the brightness of the ambient lighting manually instead of doing it by holding the roof button. The option is in instrument cluster. And it appears in the interior lighting menu.
Also the wing mirror puddle lights. You can set these to “on” even when folded. This is in the front drivers and passenger door module. You must code both sides for this to work. The puddle lights stay on even when the mirrors are folded.
Still trying to activate the exhaust button. Found a option in rear electronics but I believe there are other modules to code aswell before it will allow activation in the AC module.

thanks for sharing, what does the mirror puddle lights do then? when you lock the car and the mirrors fold in the lights will stay on until the rest of the lights turn off?

There is a lot in the instrument cluster that can be enabled actually here is what I have found so far off the top of my head

Ambient lighting
Overhead light on door open
(more lighting that I can't think of right now)
locking time out (in seconds)
Rain sensor (auto or off)
Shift light recommendation (for fuel economy)
Avg fuel economy (under info screen)
Audio (station list or presets, presets does not appear to work on my 23)
center AC vent cooler
Go Home in Navi screen route selection
G-Force Menu
Performance Menu
Individual Menu

So if you have mirror fold enabled, then when you lock the car the lights on the mirrors (puddle lights) will turn off as the mirrors fold and will remain off until the mirrors unfold. This option will keep them on even when they fold.
What does the over head light on door open do? I thought this was standard and can be enabled with the button on roof?
Did you enable ac vent cooler? What does this do? Same as the “rest” button?

Re: mirrors, cool i'll take a look!

over head light is configurable just on the instrument cluster. I think it enables or disables the overhead lights when you open the door. I haven't tested yet

center AC vent cooler seems to blow colder air out of the center vents than the side vents, haven't tested yet

I have also enabled static cornering lights and also static cornering lights when low beam is enabled. And also high beam.
I believe this is a part of PDLS+. These options are in the headlight module. Tested and confirmed to work. They even work when the car is static.

does your car not have PDLS+

No I didn’t, but i have enabled it all now. Got the HBA and all the other features coded. Pretty poor that they charge a bomb for PDLS+ when you can simply code all the features in if you have the standard PDLS.

Gotcha, yeah seems like a of the tech is purely software that is available on the computers but not enabled. I think LKS can be activated too though some people do not like it from what I've read

Nice work ! Great to see new members peeking around in Launch ! A nice add there for Comfort lighting .

I guess what we have also been looking for is independent control of the Horseshoe dome light , lower in intensity, when all the footwell lights , ambient is at HIGH.

This latest find does not help that correct ? Just an Overall fade control in MFD ?

Funny that the horse shoe light does not bother me. However i think i have what you are looking for.
in rear end electronics, roof console parameters, there is an option for Max Brightness. You could drop that and it should drop the horse shoe brightness.
This should not affect the ambient lighting as this is in a different section (interior illumination parameter)

try that and see how it goes!

@Sammy , CONFIRMED, absolute fix.
it gets even better, when you open door, it goes to MAX. desirable.
Super find, congrats. BTW, I am set at 20% currently.
