Well @Runbuh,
I had to know so broke out piwis. surprising results below ? conducted this quick test with no external battery supply ( per error) maybe this is part of the readings ?
not sure. I will do this again with supply hooked up.

These are my values after testing today… you are right @Teddis, we should continue this conversation in the other battery thread…

To note, higher voltage than yours, but battery charge condition is just a tad lower than yours. Battery aging charge, much lower. I think my battery is 7 years old, but I’ll check the service invoice to see if it was changed at some point…

Santrix, did you have your supply hooked up to the battery ?

I did not , as evidenced by the red battery icon in my screen shot.
My voltage would have been similar (13ish) to yours.

I will do this again with my supply hooked up for sanity check.

Yes I did. I had power supply hooked.

Checked through service report and it is the original battery.

I guess it’s replacement is my next project….

If my second test ….comes back the same…..I guess we can explain it away to “low use” I have low miles, thus low starts, etc, and always use a CTEK.
Yours is the “worker” , at 100K .

@Runbuh, have you seen Battery State of Charge any where in your 431 ?
I have seen this reported in PIWIS videos….but cannot find this data with the 431.

@Teddis - I finally broke out the x431 and poked around. In the Gateway module, there's a boatload of battery options under the "Read Data Stream" section. The main choices are at the first level are:

• Battery
• Battery ageing history (yes "ageing")
• Battery effect history
• Battery Charge Condition Histogram

Battery has 23 options:

Battery ageing history has 60 options:

Battery effect history has 40 options:

Battery Charge Condition Histogram I think only has these 4 options, that in turn can make a real-time graph/report:

While poking around, I found a nice way to read the Launch Control counters (Tiptronic Transmission Control -> Read Data Stream). I see no way of editing these values.

What I show above is two different counters. Once you click on one, you get to see the actual values. My actual value is more than 1.

I've wondered that myself. I messed around with it for a while, but didn't see an obvious way to obtain a VAL.

I have not seen anything, but I’m guessing you‘re stuck with what the FCC allows them to do (the Homelink transmitter itself is hard wired).

Have you tried to lengthen the tail on the garage door transmitter?

Yes. Have done this….. did not help though

The handheld has great range …..it’s the Macan that could be better.

For those of you that have a Launch x431 with an active subscription, I recommend avoiding Porsche version 23.85 if you have not already updated. Much of the english text is switched to German, making it MUCH harder to find things.

I upgraded to 23.85 and see no option to downgrade. I have opened a ticket with Launch (via the device itself). I have also located a cough source cough for the old files.
