Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

Also, I don’t have the screen shots, But if you search the term “Sailing” in Launch x431 under the Instrument Cluster Hidden coding, you will have 2 results.

Both are to enable a little icon of a car rolling, at the bottom of the MFD. This little icon shows up when the PDK is coasting.

Sure you can count on the Tachometer dropping to idle to see you’re coasting. But it’s a very handy little icon to confirm.

Interesting, experienced the sailing feature as well as @Sammy described before, also with the +paddle.
On one hand it is practical when leaving a motorway or knowing what comes ahead. On the other hand, if you drive in dense traffic, engine braking is helpful. In case the PDK would do it then, appears not helpful.
Anyway with Start/Stop disabled in most cases, I push the gear lever to N when I want to enforce coasting and terminate it in a controlled way by pulling the lever to D again.
...Maybe it is worth trying the sailing feature again in case it could be activated with deactivated S/S, if s. o. finds a how to...

New topic,
just thought about activating the driver seat memory w/o the seat memory control buttons (unfortunately didn't order...nowadays my wife uses a different seating position in the Macan, in contrast to the Italian cars we have and had).
- In case the seat electronics are the same in all models, it could work out to activate only the key-related seat memory when activating the "auto memory" in the MFD
(no seat memory button panel needed for this function?! - In the option list it's a rather cheap item, so no expensive HW expected to be paid for, maybe only a SW thing...)

Anybody tried this before???

Thanks, good hint, just checked prices for that driver seat control panel (the one in the door handle), several used ones for less than 50bucks in the bay. So I do not expect any controller in there, just button electronics...wonder if the plug pigtail in the door exists?
Btw. when searching for pics of that panel, Google initially gave my a link to Macan forum seat memory thread...nice...

...and Google yielded this link Seat controller module, have to check first if Launch shows such in my car's ECU component list...

Not sure this is possible. There doesn’t seem to be any other coding options available. Im guessing with the pse you get these due to the back box. There also seems to be some other hardware known as a “shaker” that is installed with the pse. The pops and cracks are due to unspent fuel in the exhaust detonating and in sport/sport+ because of the more aggressive tune is why this happens. The back box will also cause more pops and bangs due to airflow / fuel/air ratio. The only real way to achieve more without a exhaust would be via a engine tune/remap imo.

Great, good to remember where it is.
Actually I had planned to reduce the temp a bit, say to 35°C (almost body temp), because it gets too hot on my skin after a short while, while fingers and hand tissue are not warmed up by then...in fact, the thermostat takes care that the heating power is not reduced in the warm up phase...must not tell my wife though...

Actually just did it as well, the temp set point from 35 to 30 and heat up temp from 40 to 35. Will give a try in a moment.

Late remark: Setpoint temp of 30°C was a bit too low, increased it to 32°C, switch-off temp of 35°C seems OK for the a. m. purpose and better for the steering wheel leather cover anyway...
Late late remark: Have set switch-off temp up to 37°C, still endurable for my fingers (also defined as baby bathtub temp, must be good!). So both temp settings 3°C lower than factory for my perceived optimum.

It seems like there is a code on VWs and Audis to activate it in the instrument cluster called needle sweep or staging or instrument celebration. I haven't seen anyone on a Porsche forum mention this. Let me know if you find anything. I will try to take a look to see if I have such a code in my 718 this weekend.

...Nothing found as well in '23 Macan T Instrument Cluster regarding needle sweep w Launch...maybe look for it in the DME, since the speed/rpm data signals should come from there???

Btw. I searched the DME for keyword "backfire" (to activate pop and crackle in normal driving mode), but nothing found either.

Somewhat true also for my '23 T. Before it was clear that S/S memory can be activated solely in the A/C controller, I tried some S/S related thing(s) in the DME which didn't work (with Launch)...

...Regarding needle sweep the following key words may also be checked in the Instrument Cluster module w Launch: needle, sweep, welcome, celebration, ceremony, gauge, test.

Alternative approach: For VW I found this similarity using some VAG coding tool:

Removing Seatbelt Chime

[Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Coding - 07]
[Long Coding Helper]
Click on each of the Byte numbers in step 3) and you'll see the selectable options below.
Uncheck the box for "Seatbelt Warning active"
[Do It!]

Enabling Gauge Test/Needle Sweep
This will sweep the gauge needles through their full range automatically when you start the engine.

[Select]
[17 - Instruments]
[Coding - 07]
[Long Coding Helper]
Click on each of the Byte numbers in step 3) and you'll see the selectable options below.
Check the box for "Gauge Test/Needle Sweep active"
[Do It!]

See the similarity!?
Now if looking for the chime switch in the Macan coding table, you'll find the entry point: Kodierwert, here byte 2. Eventually adressing byte 1 (set bit 0 to 1 or if byte value is diplayed, add 1, but only in case an even value is present, otherwise hands off! - maybe this is applicable to PIWIS as well) will yield the sweep (if accessible though)...coding while engine not running...

Late rem: Here is some background for the above at VAGupdate

I took a look for a code in my 718 to enable needle sweep and did not find anything. I searched in the Instrument Cluster module for needle, sweep, stage, staging, indicator, pointer, welcome, celebration, ceremony, gauge and test. I did find a function to run a needle sweep to test the needles but this did not permanently enable the function.

I am also looking for the code to turn off power to the USB in my car after I turn the car off. I believe it will continue to provide power for 30 minutes. The reason is that I have a Carlinkit and it will continue to connect my Iphone to Carplay even though I am no longer in the car.

I found the code below that looked promising based on the name of the code. However, the value is 20 rather than 30. Also, the unit is "low" rather than minutes. Anyone know what low refers to? I guess it is possible that this code does something else but I did not find anything else that looked applicable.

Edit: I have also attached the input screen. It says "Please enter the range 0 to 255 ‘S 10 Hexadecimal Number". Does this mean the value is seconds? If so, why does the main screen say the unit is low if it is seconds? Also, if the run-on is 20 seconds, this is probably not the code I am looking for.

20hex is 2x16=32decimal. In case switch-off time is exactly 32mins, it could be the right switch...currently 3200Km away from my Macan, otherwise I would have checked:cool:...

On the other hand a "socket" could also mean a bulb socket, and seconds as unit

Hello
I activated the dials the only change is that the dials light up as soon as the ignition is switched on.

no change in the lighting of the white meters normally it should illuminate more?

Have a '23 Macan T, all changes, like instrument lighting and expert mode activation worked as described before. Due to the new middle console, resp. A/C controller, some things changed however, but not in principle according to my experience.
..w Launch CRP919 (works like X431)
