Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

very cool!! what were the steps to code?

there are two options for this. One which works with reading the road signs via the camera and the other which uses the camera and the navigation data to display the speed. This is the better option and is called fussion mode. The modules that need to be coded are the instrument cluster, the head unit and the front camera. Although there are different options for us cars and a lot of people on the audi forum reported it didn’t work with us cars. So try at your own risk. I have enabled fusion mode so the speed limit works constantly regardless of speed signs on the road.
let me dig up the options for it from this forum.
but for instrument cluster you are enabling all speed sign options.
and for front camera you need to enable fussion mode and VZE.

Please only code correct for your country. I have added the us and row coding options.

it is difficult for me to explain the exact coding options and steps as i seem to be the only person using Autel and autels system and menu layout is completely different to anything i have seen.

but long story short, I enabled all that stuff in the head unit as i am ROW(UK). Then in instrument cluster enabled every option for speed signs. Then in front camera enabled fusion mode and VZE

I guess if you just wanted camera mode you would just do the instrument cluster coding.
then in front camera enable traffic sign recognition instead of fusion mode and enable VZE.

I just recently got the Launch CRP919X and after connecting to my 2023 Macan S, did all the firmware and other updates (firmware V20.56) , then going into OBD II for coding (like to switch the gauge lights on), but the system says it "Control of on-board system, test or component: Unavailable on this Vehicle".
Questions:
1) Do I assume right that coding of the instrument cluster is in that ODB menu?
2) And anyone has experience with the CRP919X?

ps: It did detect my car and I was able to send a diagnostic report, so connection seems to be fine

Suspect you are not accessing the right way. Connect , let it determine vehicle.
Go to System selection, the Instrument cluster , then brush, then hidden.

There you can access parameters to edit , via search field , or other.

Thanks so much @Teddis - I succeeded switching the lights in the instrument cluster on! It now looks great.

The way I got there
  • Main Menu→Diagnose→Porsche→Manually Select→Macan then
  • System Selection→Instrument Cluster→Code/Brush Hiding→ Brush Hidden/Modified-> Dimming-general configuration
  • Then the two described values 1) Central dial white→ yes, 2) All dials white
You can observe the change on the dial in real-time when you press “write code”.

UPDATE: As others have pointed out the better way from the main menu is this:
  • Main Menu→Diagnose→Porsche→Automatically Search→Ok then as above

PS: I used a Launch CRP919X that I was able to get from Amazon for $372 (the prices occasionally drops).

PPS: Curious if at all I could do the same using the "iCarsoft Auto Diagnostic Scanner POR V2.0" which I returned after not seeing any hints that it does do any ECU coding.

There should hopefully be some way to let it automatically identify your car once you've selected Diagnoise --> Porsche. Unless the Launch is showing your Macan's MY and VIN at some point (showing it knows what generation Macan you have), you should try to use an automatic identification route as some coding items are slightly different between the 3 Macan generations. I'm not sure if your screens look similar, but on my Launch, I would choose the Automatically Search option towards the top of the screen.

That would be great, but also wondering if it's possible from the regular window switches?
I doubt it as the electric supply is restricted with ignition off to prevent battery drain.
I guess I should clarify - the power window switches continue to function after turning the key off until you open a door, just like the radio. I’m sure they time out at some point of course. So it would be nice if auto up/down worked during this interval. BMW does it this way.

This is an example where X431 and piwis differ.
To enable this with Launch, you will need to find each parameter required to enable....doable.
With piwis, you enable the feature, and it autocodes the associated modules.

PIWIS is the way to go in my eyes!

I have a 2022 so my vehicle did not come standard with Traffic Jam Assist.

Here are the instructions I found if anyone see’s this and wants to check them on their 2021+ with PIWIS 3:

“Changing option is not necessary to use on engineer mode.

upper 2021 macan,It has fontcamera and LWA(Lane warning assist)...

so we can activate PDLS to PDLS + ,LWA to LKA,LKA with TJA(traffic jam assist)

We can activate LKA ,we select front electronic ,instrument cluster, front camera, gateway and power steering and F12 and first step select piwis coding and second step maual coding and select option code 6I1 LKA.

If you have safety driving, and select GJ1 traffic jams at the same time.

two safety options will be activated after coding.

First I drive LKA only ,It is used for the upper 65km only..and not used under 60km.

But with TJA,If you almost drive automatically and safely under 65km ...more than my Audi Sq5 FLY.

Macan acc is not activated on 0km but Sq5 is activated on 0Km.”

Hey guys, if I changed my boost gauge coding to show greater boost (changed the value to 1.66 per the recommended changes) this only changes the range it shows right?

it doesn’t change any of the algorithm that shows the boost? Like 17lbs was maxed before, and now it shows 19-20 sometimes now that I coded the gauge to show more. the car is stock 2017 GTS
