Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

@Loins that was my same predicament until this update. I wonder if they just pushed it to my account then, since other do not see it.

I did this:

I connected to the car and did an auto search under 24.05 originally. It found the instrument cluster, I tried to connect and then got the error I posted. I then quit the diag session.

I then went to feedback in the app and did the feedback for Porsche , chose the recent file that was generated, did others option and wrote out my detailed problem with the error etc, added email and a screenshot of the error and clicked submit.

You want to make sure your make model year and vin show up on the left, If they don't then you want to include those in the problem description.

I waited 24 hours then emailed the Amazon seller who then responded and said to email overseas.service <overseas.service@cnlaunch.com> who responded very quick. Within 48 hours my issue with connecting to the instrument cluster was resolved.

What's interesting is that they must've honestly released this to my account or something because, when I was writing this up with the device in front of me, in my Porsche feedback button it shows 24.06 but latest software version is 24.05.

Maybe we can do a remote diagnose through the app with my software and see if I can connect to your instrument cluster ?

Emailed them again with that screenshot hopefully to get their attention.

Well that's annoying, I just opened another feedback but on a different car.

Email the seller of the unit and see if they can help get you traction, forward them the email you sent to support. This is the real only downfall of the launch products.

I only had a 30 day window to return mine so it was pressure cooker time so at least you have the ability wait at least a week. In the end I kept it anyway because I have 3 different brands I maintain in the stable

Has anyone tried and managed to get the car to lock on its own and reducing the timer for it to lock?

I'm having an issue where after I save my changes, the feature doesn't work and when going back into Launch, they're all set back to factory default.

I went into "Board computer menu configuration" and enabled all the lock options, then went into each of the "Board computer display configuration key" 1 through 4 (not sure why the same locking timer options are listed in each of the 1-4 menus) and reduced the timer for:
  • "Door locking setting (car jack)" I set this to ignition or start on
  • "Locking - easy entry" - I think default is set to "Shutdown".. not sure what to set this one to
  • "Locking - relocking time, after door unlocking" - this is the big one that I tried setting to 5 seconds
  • "Locking - relocking time, after open trunk" - set this to the same 5 seconds.

Anyone know how to get this to work?

Just mess with BCM not the ones related to factory default or the key ones, unless you want to change those specifically, but BCM is the only thing I messed with to get things to work. The keys are literally related to your fobs and you can have up to 4 tied to a vehicle hence key 1-4. You don't want to change so much you almost forget what you changed.

I'm not home right now but somewhere in this thread has the setting to adjust the drive off speed.

X431 is the best no doubt for quick, easy edits. Piwis still rules though for any deep work , like commissioning new modules etc as it can address multiple modules in one Loooooong sequence.

Someone recently lowered their Macan with X431……this process would be good to see documented.

Awesome writeup, that stance is strong
Thanks!
I am very happy with the result, except now need to decide what size spacer to go with (thinking 12mmF and 15mmR)

I did run into an issue however trying to code lines 23 & 25 in the spreadsheet - I am following what’s there but can’t get the 4point LEDs to stay on with the headlights 😵‍💫

any ideas??

To confirm you are saying this will not work with LED DRLs that don’t have an HID headlight?
mine:

Not sure what headlights these are but it is the look I want:

You can’t turn 4-point led while headlights are on in the model headlight you have.

I was able to turn 4-point with headlights on my HID BiXenon.

When I upgraded to LED (same model you have) the code didn’t work anymore. Same experience with others. It may have to do with voltage.

I’m not saying there is a solution, but it will have to be found beyond coding.

I was able to turn it on in my 718, which has HID.

Wanted to touch on another mod I did and uncovered some findings.

Active braking or flash-on braking is a feature I love and have always added or programmed into my vehicles.

the Procedure is very straight forward but the values here will affect when the flashing is "allowed" to happen and will vary due to your preference.

The breakdown for each param I could understand is as follows:
  • Speed brake light flashing On - speed set to engage the flashing brakes (set to 1 to always engage)
  • Speed brake light flashing Off - speed when met brake lights return solid (this value should always be less than the value set in "Speed brake light flashing On")
  • Deceleration brake light flashing On - G force set to engage flashing brakes (set to 1 to always engage)
  • Deceleration brake light flashing Off - G force when met brake lights return to solid (this value should always be less than the value set in "Deceleration brake light flashing On")
  • Brake light flashing switch-on-time - the amount of time in seconds the flashing persists once engaged
    • from what I can tell if the value is set to 0 the lights will flash until 1 of 2 "Off" params is met, ie. "Speed brake light flashing Off" or "Deceleration brake light flashing Off"
    • also from what I can tell if the value is set above 0, the brakes will only flash for that set time regardless of any "Off" params
  • Brake light flashing switch-off-time - not sure about this one but I set it to the same value as "Brake light flashing switch-on-time"
  • Brake light flashing run-on-time - this is the rate at which the brakes flash in /ms (lower number = faster flashing)
  • Brake light flashing run-off-time - not sure about this one but I set it to the same value as "Brake light flashing run-on-time"

1. Plug the VCI into your Macan and connect to your x431

2. Start your Macan (it works while running so why risk battery drain)

3. Set your vehicle type and navigate to the coding section

4. Select Rear-end Electronics > Code/Brush Hiding > Brush Hidden/Modified

5. Select EDB parameter-Speed brake light flashing On

6. Set the value to a baseline traveling speed in km/h you want flashing brakes enabled

7. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

8. Select EDB parameter-Speed brake light flashing Off

9. Set the value to the desired speed in km/h, when met, will stop the flashing brake lights and return them to solid

10. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

11. Select EDB parameter-Deceleration brake light flashing On

12. Set the value to a G force number, when met, will engage flashing brakes (this only works if you are traveling at or above the speed you set in step 6)

13. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

14. Select EDB parameter-Deceleration brake light flashing Off

15. Set the value to a G force number, when met, will stop the flashing brake lights and return them to solid (this only works if traveling within the speed values you set in steps 6 and 9)

16. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

17. Select EBD parameter-Brake light flashing switch-on-time

18. Set the Value to the amount of time in seconds you want the flashing to persist once engaged

19. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

20. Select EBD parameter-Brake light flashing switch-off-time

21. Set the Value to the same amount set of time in "EBD parameter-Brake light flashing switch-off-time"

22. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

23. Select EBD parameter-Brake light flashing run-on-time

24. Set the Value to the rate at which the brakes flash in /ms (lower number = faster flashing)

25. Write your new value and go back to the previous menu

26. Select EBD parameter-Brake light flashing run-off-time

27. Set the Value to the same amount set of time in "EBD parameter-Brake light flashing run-on-time"

28. Write your new value and enjoy your F1-style flashing brakes!

That's a good one!

I almost got a heated steering wheel and clock spring for my wheel swap just to have it but I opted for the non-heated wheel since it is never cold where I live and I need to teach myself not to buy things I don't need lol
