Have bought a new car Macan, and I heard a friend say to brush some Porsche hidden functions, using the Porsche engineers version of the computer brush out, which a friend can help me brush out, computer engineer, who can brush out, please contact me, and I will thank you to the way you like.

For some manufacturers, that appears to be the case. For Porsche, not so much. 23.85 is all I see, and I feel that 23.82 is a better version.

I am still working with the Launch support folks to see what they can do. There is actually a "help" system built-in to the app, called "Feedback". it gets a tracking ticket #, and maybe/hopefully messages/updates, that you can track on the device itself.

Thank you for checking that. Hopefully others will enjoy the same experience as yours. If you get the chance, could you plug in your x431 and check the Instrument Cluster -> Joker settings in 23.85 and see if they match the wording I put in my big post of x431 codings? This is what I saw in 23.82:
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker Sport
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker Sport Plus
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker PASM
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker lane departure warning
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker Sport exhaust system
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker Start/Stop
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker RTV
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker Spurverlassenswarnung
  • Board computer menu configuration-Board computer menu configuration byte 2-Joker PCM_MAP
Now I see something that is much more German (and this language change is very pervasive and makes searching darn near impossible):

Spoke to them last night. They are telling me that they're working on 10.8 whatever that means, doesn't make sense to me. I'm trying to get my hands on the Porsche package files 23.82 which can be literally shared by anyone who has them without compromising their device since its just the car make folder that doesn't work unless you actually have the launch tool and already licensed for that product. So.... if I can get it, I'll happily share the files (not stingy at all).

I see that 23.86 is out. I'll probably download it and see what they "fixed".

Updated - This is rich! Did they try to help me out with a 23.82 version just for me?

I updated earlier today and didn't see an update for Porsche. After reading your reply, ran to get the Launch and checked..... nothing. Still 23.85 on mine, so it must be just you.

What's interesting is, what was new in 23.85 vs 23.82 that they didn't hesitate to rebadge 23.82 as 23.86 for you specifically.

Very interesting how these people work.

Does anyone know if adaptive brake lights can be enable on US/Canadian Macans? Or is this feature already enabled?

If it can be enable what module would this be located?

I have searched and haven't found a conclusive answer.

Thanks

Played around with the Launch x431 running 23.90. Things look to be back in order. Some very slight language changes when you're doing the brush/coding stuff, but nothing you can't figure out on your own (from what I saw). Most of the English is still in (the same) English.

I added a couple of items to my main list of items you can code:
  • Cut off your DRL. When your light switch is off, then your DRL's are off. The only time the DRL's will be lit is when your headlights are actually on (the main beams are actually lit). DRL's will NOT be lit, otherwise. May only apply to newer Macans in the US Market.
  • Change the relock time that applies when you unlock your car, but don't open a door. Default in the US market is 30 seconds. Max I could configure was 90 seconds. I assume a value of zero means "do not relock".
