I dont think there are any more to find, useful ones anyway. I've been through all the sections with a fine tooth comb and nothing else stands out.

I'm looking for a way for the PCM to play the last song played when connecting the phone. It always seems to revert to the first song in alphabetical order. Is very annoying. Haven't been able to find a way.

 

it’s a problem as old as time itself if you are using Bluetooth. With CarPlay, mine picks up with whatever song I last played on my phone.

Are your 4-points your DRL? If so, I remember seeing something around “DRL Dimming with Main Beam“. I’m sure I’ve got the wording wrong, but ”DRL” and “dim” were in there. I want to say the value is the percent you want them dimmed when the mains are on, and the default was 90%? That’s reaching deep back into my brain’s dark areas, so I could be wrong.

Next you’re gonna ask me “where”. Sorry, but I don’t recall. I think it was Instrument Cluster or Front-end electronics (it wasn’t headlights).

Does anyone know if this will work on 2.0L Macans to enable the turbo boost pressure option for the MFD multi-line display? I have a GTS, so I can't test, and someone was asking how to enable the display. Seems like this would work, but not sure if 2.0L Macan's actually report out a measurement that can be displayed

I would assume yes. I cannot test either as it's standard with my turbo PP, and the byte is set to "yes" in my case.

I have seen this reported in PIWIS videos….but cannot find this data with the 431.

I have not looked, but I am willing to bet that it's a maintenance item, not a coding item.

I may plug be plugging my Launch in this week to try and help someone else. I'll poke around at that time.

Ok- in PIWIS, go to Diagnostics -> choose Gateway module -> click on the Actual Values tab. Still gotta see what shows up on a Launch, but it would likely be under the System Selection -> Gateway, and some sort of function before you code to the Code/Brush Hiding.

 

i'm not sure if this is a 'discovery'. It was for me today. I've been having a problem with getting frequent low pressure warnings. The pressure is correct for 1-2 people. It calls for 33/36. When I checked it yesterday it was 34/38 at ambient temperature; meaning it was correct. And...bang. I get a low pressure warning. So, I see which tire is giving me the headache. It turns out by selecting the tire size and summer/winter, down at the bottom of that screen is a little box you can highlight that says FULL LOAD. It was checked. As soon as I unchecked the box, the low pressure icon went out. Seems you can program not only the type and size tires you're running, but also be able to let the TPMS know as to whether you have 1-2 or 3-4 in the Porsche with you. I didn't know that.

I had to know so broke out piwis. surprising results below ? conducted this quick test with no external battery supply ( per error) maybe this is part of the readings ?
not sure. I will do this again with supply hooked up.

These are my values after testing today… you are right @Teddis, we should continue this conversation in the other battery thread…

To note, higher voltage than yours, but battery charge condition is just a tad lower than yours. Battery aging charge, much lower. I think my battery is 7 years old, but I’ll check the service invoice to see if it was changed at some point…

 

Santrix, did you have your supply hooked up to the battery ?

I did not , as evidenced by the red battery icon in my screen shot.
My voltage would have been similar (13ish) to yours.

I will do this again with my supply hooked up for sanity check.

Yes I did. I had power supply hooked.

Checked through service report and it is the original battery.

I guess it’s replacement is my next project….

 

If my second test ….comes back the same…..I guess we can explain it away to “low use” I have low miles, thus low starts, etc, and always use a CTEK.

While poking around, I found a nice way to read the Launch Control counters (Tiptronic Transmission Control -> Read Data Stream). I see no way of editing these values.

What I show above is two different counters. Once you click on one, you get to see the actual values. My actual value is more than 1.

I was able to check my battery health and LC pulls

As we seem to be able to do almost everything a Piwis can do…….anyone know here we can pull a VAL off , in 431 ?

I've wondered that myself. I messed around with it for a while, but didn't see an obvious way to obtain a VAL.

 

Has anyone seen an intensity for the Homelionk transmitter in 431 ? Love to amp this up a bit.........

 

I have not seen anything, but I’m guessing you‘re stuck with what the FCC allows them to do (the Homelink transmitter itself is hard wired).

The handheld has great range …..it’s the Macan that could be better.

For those of you that have a Launch x431 with an active subscription, I recommend avoiding Porsche version 23.85 if you have not already updated. Much of the english text is switched to German, making it MUCH harder to find things.
