Can't say I'm really a fan of 'Impulse Red'.

 

I'm warming up to it although it does definitely depend on the light (or photoshop in this case).

It kind of still looks pink.

 

Saw one a few weeks ago, it actually did look a little too pink'ish for my taste.

 

Still looking forward to my Rhodium Silver S to come in. Can't go wrong with that silver on any Porsche. The impulse red is ok but not my cup of tea.

You'd have to request it, and Porsche Exclusive would have to approve of it. It's not that farfetched of an idea.

It just depends how nice Porsche wants to be and if it wants to keep that color exclusive to the 918.

 

Pink. No doubt about it. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Just not a very good color blend. Carmine Red is way better

@pwynn , I agree that in the video you linked to, it doesn't look pink. However, I really think the color balance is off on that video. I have taken the color plates out in daylight and looked at Impulse Red. I really tried to love it, but I found the color to be too pink for me. YMMV.

Doesn't seem like it has tinted taillights. You will likely need that to give some contrasts.

That looks a lot more Red, but I still see a tiny bit of pink hue. Not as much anymore as the other two pictures.

 

The car in the picture behind it is red. That seems more of a 'candy apple red' if that makes sense.

 

@kendoll - I agree, it is not a true red. I traded in a red Audi S4 for my Macan.

 

I see a small red SUV and it just looks too much like the local Fire Rescue vehicle .

 

Well if someone needs to be rescued from a fire ; they better hope they get there pronto fast . So a Macan Fire rescue is great !

I recently saw a "Fashion Grey" GT3 with black glossy wheels. It looked amazing in person! Wonder how a Macan would look in that color...

Absolutely a speeding ticket advertisement. In spite of that, I want one. Especially those sexy yellow calipers.

 

I had to take my car in this morning for a service update and took a couple pictures of a customer's Macan Turbo that had not yet been picked up. The car had pretty much everything other than the PCCB on it, I am assuming it was one of the vehicles that Porsche uses to show people what could be ordered. Sorry for the phone quality pics.

 

@rkirshner Amazing how different this car photographs. Actually looks good in your pics, much more red than pink. But definitely NOT what my eyes saw at my dealer. It is so much more pink in person.

 

I agree, it definitely photographs different! I really noticed the pink hues when comparing to the red brake calipers. To each their own, but it is too pink for me and I love red (this was my old S4)

 

All Porsche had to do was 'borrow' some red paint from Mazda and I would have handed over money for a red Macan. Alas, I didn't want pink.

 

Impulse Red Macan reminds me of a Halls cough drops in cheery flavor. Red fits only Ferraris and fire trucks in my opinion.

 

Pink. I don't know why Porsche bothers with this color. Carmine Red is the only one to get IMHO
