Hey, guys thnx for all of your wisdom here. I think I broke my PDK 🥶 any help would be much appreciated.

After I changed the PDK oils of my 2017 Macan turbo, the calibration failed when I reached the "clutch bite point adaptation" all the other calibration procedures were carried out, but not this one. Now the car drives but doesn't keep many revs, even in Sport + mode, when it reaches 5,000 RPM, it shifts to a higher gear, whereas before, it used to keep the revs to 7K. If I press the pedal harder, it keeps the revs. It doesn't shift. For example, before, when driving in 7th gear in normal mode, when Sport+ was selected, it was dropping to 3rd gear, now it drops to 4th, so it doesn't feel as sporty.

And one of the most annoying parts is when in Sport+ mode, driving with 20 ml/h it used to be in the first gear, now it's in 2nd

Any suggestions are much appreciated

Doesn't the calibration reset the PDK to factory default settings?

If so, then all of the transmission adaptation to your particular driving style that had been completed prior to
the PDK calibration is likely to now be lost.

It is my belief that it'll take some number (?) of driving cycles for the PDK to re-learn your driving style and adapt
to your driving habits once again.

Good luck!

Hey guys, thx for all of your wisdom here. I have an issue, after I changed the PDK oils of my 207 Macan turbo, the calibration failed when I reached the "clutch bite point adaptation" all the other calibration procedures were carried out, but this one. Now the car drives but doesn't keep much revs, even in Sport + mode when it reaches 4,000 RPM shifts to a higher gear, where before it used to keep the revs to 7K. For example, before, when driving in 7th gear in normal mode, when Sport+ was selected, it was dropping to 3rd gear, but now it drops to 4th, so it doesn't feel as sporty.

I called the Porsche dealer, and they told me I could have broken the PDK, and if I bring it for diagnostic, I have to sign a paper that the car might need a new transition...I ma like what...

Any suggestions would be highly appreciated, on what I can do next to fix the issue. Should I try another PDK calibration or PDK reset I see in the forum?
What scan tool did you use? If it's a Launch or Launch clone like Topdon, the PDK calibration doesn't work. It does do something but from the times I have tried, it seems to just reset to baseline but fail the calibration no matter what you try.

Just take it easy for the next 50-100km. It will sort itself out but it will feather the clutch a lot on takeoff so don't drive too hard. I have tried manually shifting for a bit and that seems to shorten the self learning but takeoff always feathers the clutch a lot until it learns

Thanks a lot for the replay. I thought the same, but it's been way over a month now, still hasn't learned. Santrix DIY from YouTube told me keep doing the calibration again and again until it goes through.

Ahh dang, yes I was thinking the same it might be from the TOOL. I used Launch. But it's been way over a month now and still the PDK hasn't learned. Should I try to find PIWIS? But I also know that there are different versions and programming of PIWIS.

Yes, 100% identical. SantrixDIY from YouTube suggested to keep trying the calibration until it goes through. I am thinking of trying PIWIS. Did you find any solutions?
I’m santirx DIY from YouTube…☺. Yes, I failed to ask about the tool… As you can see in the video, I do the calibration with PIWIS. I have done it with Autel, but results are mixed (meaning I end up with the PDK that is not as smooth shifting) and always go back to PIWIS.

I have never tried Launch X431. But it seems that by your experience and others, it doesn’t work.

I thought you said you used VAG Tool.

I have my PDK fluid service in 6k miles. I might have my local Porsche shop (not dealer) do it and have them do the recalibrate with PIWIS. Alternatively, I'll see my Porsche racing friends in a few weeks and might see if I can borrow a PIWIS or run over to their shop on night after work. I am sure they have one for the race car.

FWIW, I ran the entire PDK calibration routine successfully, using my OTOFIX D1 Lite, which (I believe) uses the Autel software. Knock on wood — no complaints on quality of shifting.

Did you to the all 3 test or individually? What C was your PDK at for the test? I tried at 55-58C.
I chose the second option (Calibration after replacement of mechatronic components), which does all three in succession. The last step requires the fluid to be between 40-60°C, so you should be good where you were, unless you crept over 60°C... Maybe initiate the process again, when temp is a bit lower — 45-50°C ?
