With the D1 Lite, I was able to perform:
Transfer Case Service
PDK Clutch Calibration
PDK Gear Calibration

This thing is so confusing sometimes, my tips are to connect it first to your home wifi and run all the multitude updates and install the multigig Porsche package. Account creation itself was a pain as well. Don't rip off the screen cover like I did, there's a screen protector under it that's supposed to come off separately.

Getting the car in the correct temperature range is also somewhat of a pain. During the clutch calibration process though, it indicated the overall process was a success but I wasn't sure because some of the in between produces errors but it keeps continuing.

Going to drive it a bit now to see if it has improved anything.

You would know, seperate calibration listed in the AWD section. NOT PDK.
Sorry to be more detailed, in the Lite, it just lists Transfer Case Service, but during the process, it does go through some kind of calibration, takes a few minutes and you do hear some mechanical noises happening under the car. I can't recall if the description says calibration though.

Yes, that’s it. Transfer Case Service after oil change.

So I guess I will be keeping this thing. I need to do the PDK fluid on my 718 GTS in the next year or two as well.

These tools are a must if you are a DIY in my opinion. Thanks for reporting back on the Otofix D1 Lite. Seems like is quite powerful. But what I read is it doesnt have bidirectional communication. You’ll have to get D1 to get that.

Yeah, what functions does the bidirectional get you?

The D1 Lite can also read transmission temps which I will need for the PDK fluid change and reset all the services. TBF, the AP200 which is $50, also does that too but can’t do any of the calibrations. I think I’ll also be able to do my own brake job with the D1 Lite.

Allows you to send test commands for troubleshooting….

A bi-directional scanner is different from a regular OBD2 scanner. These scanners don't just retrieve information from the vehicle computer systems but also allow for commands. This is what bi-directional control entails. Performing active tests.

When you did the clutch calibration routine with the D1 Lite, did the software instruct you to the times you depress the brake pedal, and the times you don’t, as well as walking you through when to shift gears?

IIRC, for clutch calibration there are some steps but I don't think it involved P to N to D or any of that, for the gear calibration, it does ask you to do those things.

Correct. This specific procedure is required for the calibration of the transmission range sensor.

Just a follow up, I redid the Clutch Calibration routine after driving around a while. It passed with no errors this time.

what a difference! No more slight hiccups getting going from a stop. Previously it felt a bit like someone who has only learned to drive stick for 2 months getting going, now it’s butter smooth.

Good to know. Did you redo the clutch bite only, or the whole 3 calibrations again?
