I like the set screw idea. Does it chew into the original paddle though?
Smart money can you post a pic of these on your Macan please ? Wondering how big these are......most I see are too big for my taste.
Thx

The set screws on these are very small, about as thick as a toothpick. You don’t need to over tighten with 4 securing each paddle. The feel and look of them are top notch. Don’t be shy to ask seller for a small discount, just tell them you saw this on the forum.

Thanks for that bit of info -- useful. I assume the stock paddles are some kind of plastic?

In addition to the one that I'm pretty sure you bought -- https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...hifter-Extended-type-For-Porsche-Panamera-Macan-Cayenne/613687_32824381540.html -- I found four other offerings on Ali Express ... but none of these four uses screws, i.e., they all use tape. I agree with some posts here, in that I'd prefer the set screws (given that they don't butcher the stock paddles, or at least not much or not visibly, if the Savanini paddles are ever removed).

If anyone's interested in tape, here are the four I located:

Stock paddles are aluminum as well. I had the idea of set screws to secure the paddles before I found Savanini. No way was I going to use tape to junk up my OEMs, good thing a company was smart enough to think of it.

But that Logo.. Ugggggh. I was interested until I saw how horrid their logo looks on the paddles.

There is also a supported vendor here who has CF paddles, but they are crazy pricey.

As for your steering wheel cover, how is that affixed? Looks nice but a bit wrinkled, etc.

Paddles look good.

I’d just use a black sharpie or tiny black paint pen and paint over the white on the logo so it blends in more.

Paddles arrived today. I’ve added some pictures for anyone wanting a closer look.

I was hesitant about how the anodized red would look but I figured what the **** and ordered them anyway. Worst case is I could always re-sell them and order Dark gray or black ones if I hated them. They arrived and man do they ‘pop’. But it’s a nice red, not a cheap red and it does in fact complement the red interior. Be bold right?

Install Notes:
- Everything comes in the box you need. It’s very simple. Along with a crap sticker you’ll never use. No instructions but it’s self explanatory. The screws are ultra tiny so put them somewhere safe while installing.
- Definitely install ALL the tiny screws into the paddles FIRST before mounting to the stock paddles and then tightening.
- You definitely to not need any double sided tape. These are rock solid even when modestly tightening the screws. Much better than trying to get double sided tape off your paddles if you ever want to remove them.
- Whole operation takes just a few minutes per paddle. Not rocket science.

After installing them and standing back, they make the regular silver paddles look so boring. I’m happy with the install and the bold red grows on me every time I sit in the car. I personally think this is a kick ass ‘upgrade’ for circa $50 USD and the fact they come in more subtle colors - black, dark gray, silver means you can do the upgrade and probably nobody would notice. Yes the logo is prominent on the paddles but it doesn’t bother me. If you wanted to get the darker colored paddles it would be easy to paint the white logo in, especially on the black and hide it.

Hope this was of value!

Has anyone tried the paddle shifter extensions on their macan? It initially looked like a good idea to me and might make it easier to access, but after looking closely I wonder if it significantly takes away from the clearance between the stock paddles and the turn signal and wiper stalks. I have the carbon fiber steering wheel and interior trim and I think the carbon fiber paddle extensions would go well and maybe make it easier to shift. Has anyone had good or bad experience with them?

I have no experience with them but personally I wouldn't do it for the reasons you mentioned above as well as aesthetics. To each their own of course.
