What say you? I have a 5 liter unopened jug of German acid-free P21S wheel cleaner that predates my ceramic coating. Do you think I can safely use it on my CeramicPro-coated wheels?

P21S says safe for all wheels and all coatings. Not specific enough for me. I did send an email to the guy who applied the ceramic; haven't heard back yet.

With your wheels being ceramic coated, you should only really need car shampoo to clean them right? If that in itself is no longer removing the brake dust/cleaning them, then its safe to say your ceramic coating is no longer effective, thus it won't really matter at that point (of course, I would hardly clarify a ph balanced cleaner such as P21S harsh).

My vote is save the wheel cleaner until you get to that point a year or so down the road, and stick with car shampoo for now.

My wheels are also ceramic coated. I initially used DP (Detailing Products) Car Shampoo from Autogeek, but I have since used Griot’s Garage Ceramic Wash & Coat on my wheels. You may want to check with the person who applied the ceramic coating on your wheels to see what they recommend (which I haven’t done).
