I have been trying to understand what the 0 to 60 time and 1/4 mile times are with the COBB on the Macan S?

It seems that stock is right about 5 seconds

Does this mean with a COBB tune the Macan S is 4.4 to 4.6 or ?

What about the same for the 1/4 mile.

2015 Macan S. COBB OTS v2.03 Stage 1 tune. Launch control - 0-60 - 4.312 secs. See Accessport photo.

Was it with or without LC?

Edit: just saw it with LC.

Which Cobb tune? 91 or 93 octane?

that's pretty wicked. 4.312?? I'm running the OTS v2.02 93octane tune and I knew it was fast but didn't think I'd be able to go less than 4.5 seconds

93 Octane - Costco Premium Top Grade gas.
1/4 full gas tank (if that matters)

COBB tune is OTS Version 2.03 - Stage 1. Cool 68 degree morning.

Just added Flat 6 - High flow filters. We will see if this goes down even further.

Not that anyone's interested, but in the mid '60s, Road and Track did a test on a Greyhound Bus. My recollection is that it only took about 54 seconds to go 0-60. With a Cobb tune and the seats removed, it could've been vastly improved. Could also have been retrofitted as a car hauler, with tool boxes even, and room underneath for spares.

New Macan

Hi Guys

First time Porsche owner, I just bought a pre-owned Macan S. I joined this forum today and very excited about getting into my Macan. I ordered a few parts for the car before I even took delivery as I could not contain myself. Does anyone here have a favorites of say Top 5 mods to recommend? I'm very new to Porsche so I'm not quite sure what's out there. I've already gotten a COBB V3 accessport, a BMC ail filter kit amd a catless downpipe.

thats great! you plan to change everything about the way porsche designed the car once you get it, it sounds like!

theres no top 5 mods, you change what you think needs improvement in the car.

Different kinds of enthusiasts I guess. If I wanted a stock Porsche I probably wouldn't be on the forums, but thanks for answering my question. I'm actually very happy with an AWE system I recently installed.

Really? "Everything"? Those are very popular mods that enhance the car and on the tame end of the scale. Even Porsche offers to mod the exhaust with their own PSE. That's technically a mod. And this is the modifications forum.

OP, I would add stainless steal sport pedals to that list. Very small touch of detail that brings the interior up to speed with the rest of the Porsche line. Search for Audi Q5 pedal set on Amazon. They are a direct fit. And OEM or Weathertech all weather floor mats and trunk mat too. On the more extreme end of power adders, AMS downpipes and intercoolers would make a lot more power but both are $$$$$.

Awesome. This is more of what I was looking for. Thank you for the pointers. I thought I was the only crazy one for considering mods on a mods forum. I like the pedals idea and the weathertech. I will start with those for sure. And intercooler is definitely in my view, just need to wait a bit.

Thanks for the tips.

You do know the engine has to be dropped to install the downpipes? I found out today when at COBB headquarters.:crying:

Seriously? Are you sure about this? I wonder how many hours of labor.

It came straight from an engineer at Cobb HQ in Austin, TX. when I was there helping them finish a map for my TPP. The 4 banger can be done without dropping the engine but not the 6.

Any results? Any improvements after adding those filters?

I did a few LC runs in my 17 Macan S a few days ago, it was about high 60s but windy. I did 3 runs, most were around 4.5-4.6. My 3rd run a car came flying from the entrance ramp so I let off the gas a bit so the time was not as good.

I have BMC Hi Flow Air Filters and COBB Stage 1. Getting my Flat 6 Diverter Valves installed early next month and, we shall see if it improves the 0-60 times.
