Ten years ago the people coming here were either people like us, coming from the sports cars, some previous other marque sports sedan buyers, and some moving up the marque food chain within the SUV world that could get a Porsche SUV. About all were car enthusiasts. I know people dont like to hear it but I think an appliance does not appeal to the car enthusiasts . . .
I am not sure I am a car enthusiast, as my make and model preferences are quite limited at this point.
I am definitely a driving enthusiast, but my journey BACK to a Macan is . . .
1. Limited to the ICE GTS that required a few mods to position it in MY sweet spot.
2. A testament to just how good of a daily driver the ICE Macan is when it comes to ticking performance, convenience, and practicality boxes.
Focusing on PERFORMANCE, there is nothing like a Porsche sport car, but the common roadway limitations grew increasingly infuriating . . . daily driving bridled racehorses was enough to drive me back to the Macan.
The ///M cars also fall in MY sweet spot and my CADS already has me focused on the G87 C, CS or CSL when released . . . whichever has X-Drive.
EVs do not tick performance, convenience, or practicality boxes . . . and those are the least of the reasons why I have absolutely zero interest in EVs, including the Macan EV.
1. EVs are an environmental catastrophe.
2. The most important reasons will go unspoken on this forum . . . I will just go along with the accepted party line by stating ‘legislators.’
AVM
P.S. The Macan is absolutely a disposable appliance, like 99% of cars out on the roadways. I have made this comment more than a few times on other P forums and Bimmerpost over the years and you would think I had stabbed other forum members in the heart.
