I'm in the process of configuring a Macan S and would just as well go with the steel suspension if lowering springs are available. I've searched around a little bit and have not seen any mention of them...is anyone offering them yet?

Thanks everyone who had posted lowering info here. I never imagined I would lower any car I ever owned. However after much reading I had Eibach springs installed on my non-PASM Macan to get a "Factory GTS on AS Low mode" look, but I got so much more. The car is now much more settled at low speeds over rough roads (i.e., city driving). There's also significantly less body roll, and it is easier for everyone to get in and out. If I try really hard, I think it even uses less gas on the highway. But best of all, the Macan finally looks the way it should.
Here's an identical before/after for reference. I'm so happy - I never thought one little mod could make me like this car so much more!

What struts are you going to replace with? I have been on the H&R springs with the OEM PASM struts for over 35k miles so far and no issues at all.

Lowering springs will generally cause the ride to become firmer. Whether it's noticable and significant will depend somewhat on the road conditions in your area.

If your car does not have PASM, you might consider the Eibach springs which don't drop the car as much as the H&R's. If you do have PASM, then Techart springs might be a good alternative to the H&Rs. Here is one thread on the Techart's......

TechArt Springs Installed and...

As mentioned above, there are coilover options, and also adjustable height springs......but they come with extra cost and slightly more complexity. You can have a look at some of the offerings on the Flat 6 Motorsports site.....

Best of luck with your search. (y)

That won't happen. It is always a compromise.

If you use just lowering springs, in my experience with a lot of cars of various makes and models the ride is going to get stiffer. If you leave the stock shocks/struts in with the shorter springs, the shocks/struts will fail sooner as you have shortened their range of operation. I would go with coil-overs if you want to lower your Macan so it can be dialed in to the height you want and the shocks/struts are designed to work with the springs that come with the coil-over kit. Do it right or please do not do it as you will come to dislike the ride. Just my thoughts. Cheers, Michael

I had Eibach's installed, here's how the car sits. I think it's 1.5 inch front and 1 inch rear. For those in the Bay Area, The Shop in San Bruno did the job. The price would have been around $1000 with alignment - I ended up paying more because the installation had to be done twice since I initially purchased the wrong kit (for PASM).
So if anyone's looking to get a PASM kit let me know

Perfect drop on the Eibachs.

Post up the Eibach PASM kit in a separate thread since I'm pretty sure they'll go quick.

Lots of people itching to get a drive in as we head into the Summer.

Strange that the Eibach’s give an uneven front and back lowering.

Has anyone got long term reviews on the KW H.A.S kit?

I am leaning toward this kit to try even out the rear rake bias that the H&R springs have.
I cant say about the kw kit but my bc kit still has a rake rears will only go so low u could take the rake out if u don't go that low but I think u would be better off keeping ur money and staying with the springs is just my opinion like I said I dont really know if the kw suffer like the bc coilovers in the rear

If you look at the before and afters photos I posted you will see the bias changed, top photo is after. Stock is higher in the front bias. With the HR the front is lowered by 1.5”, rear 1.25” which I think looks a lot better with slightly lower front. I can‘t think of any performance car with a higher front and I’m not taking this to Tahoe very often so clearance is not an issue for me.
