It's a slippery slope when one delves into things deviated stitching , extended leather , extra carbon fiber . I've seen cars decked out to the max with interiors that look like a designer went over it. the expense can be unreal and not one cent will ever be recovered .
Now it is true that one spends the most time looking at the interior .It's also the first thing any passenger gets to enjoy.
There are those buyers who could care less and there are others who tap into their nesting behaviors to create a home one wheels . the sky is the limit with this because even beyond the configurator is Porsche exclusive where the persons car is given a unique touch.
To me it's an SUV . it's hard for me to swallow too much opulence but then again if ordering a car and waiting it really ought to be to taste .
One point though .. most who go all out pick a Turbo . They will want the flagship dressed up for the red carpet and doing this with an S or a base car can make something like what i saw two years ago .. a 110K macan S .., scary .. dealership got stuck with it and could not sell it for almost two years .
Just be aware that if you buy a 110K Macan S and want a new car in 10 years (as you say that you keep it a long time ) you'll spend a fortune in service to maintain it (routine service plus lack of a warranty ), and wholesale trade in will be a fraction of what you spent .
It sounds like you are going to go for it no matter what anyone says . Your service adviser will be thrilled to sit with you and show you all the samples and items. they might have examples in the showroom.
