Quite the effort for the first few weeks! I’ll second your complaint about the sun visors. My cars in the ‘90s had more effective ones than these. They barely go down below the headliner and they don’t slide out along the support rod when turned off to the side?! They’re practically vestigial.
Yep it's hard to believe. I bought one of the ones pictured above, and having it now for a week or so will buy one for the passenger side. Like I said, it's not really a great solution and is a bit hokey, but hey, it works.

The sun was blinding me in the morning or early evening to the point of being unsafe. Had to do something.

Have installed many of the same items you listed on my 17 S as they do enhance the build. Love your splitter and the Android upgrade. Regarding your parking brake engaging, I have found if you open the door while the car is in gear, it will engage automatically.

Aha!!! Thank you so much this solves the mystery.

Both times I opened the door just slightly to reach further into the mail box (while in gear), and that must have engaged the parking brake. I could not for the life of me figure out how I managed to physically touch the brake switch, and now it turns out I didn't!

That's why I love boards like this. You get answers to questions you might never otherwise solve.

Thank you again. I read other discussions that said you needed a USBC to Ethernet adapter. Based on what you're saying and another understanding, he's going to email the code to me I copy the code to the USB drive, then plug the USB drive into the car and watch the magic of occur. Right?
Basically yes. No ethernet adapter and no taking a computer to to your car. There are a few buttons you need to push, and accept a few prompts. All in all VERY easy.

I’ve been looking for something like this. It looks great too. Would you mind sharing the product name info. Thanks

Yes, in our '23 base, it blew my mind to find out that the visors don't slide down the rod when turned to the side. Hey Porsche, the 1980s are calling, they want their sun visors back!

Well that didn't take long one more.

When I go to the store everything in the trunk goes flying around on the way home. Admittedly could be related to my driving habits. 😁

Trying this solution. It's strapped to the back seats. We'll see how it works.

Where did you get that Bungie thingy on the top privacy part?

what am i missing here? both images look the same
In the top picture there are holes in the front bumper left there from a front license plate.

In the second picture I have installed DIY painted plastic bumper plugs to fill the holes. There are companies that sell painted bumper plugs, but I just bought my own and painted them myself.

Helps tidy up the holes left from the front plate installation. In my state we have no front plate and the holes were bugging me. I should probably take a clearer better lit picture sometime.

Here is what I used.

Look for the tiny little holes the license plate screws made in the top picture. The holes are filled in the second picture. The dealership should never have use self tapping screws into these bumpers.
Exactly. The plugs I bought are pretty small and most likely if I didn't point them out to you no one would ever notice them. It was a lot cheaper than removing the bumper and having it repainted that is for sure.

I couldn’t agree more- the sun visors are my only gripe with the Macan. Amazon options aren’t cutting it for me. If that issue is solved with the ‘23 model, anyone try a sun visor retrofit?

(Im joking… unless it’s actually a thing to do)

Hi @GreggZ I'm not able to replace my dead pedal per these instructions: How to remove and install a dead pedal

The instructions say to remove the hood release handle, but mine is attached via a wire at its bottom. The instructions make no mention of it.

Can you share how you replaced yours?
There is a plastic piece that you need to remove. It's located toward the top back of the hood release handle. Feel around where I have the arrow pointed and will find it. Slide a small screwdriver or pick in the there and it pulls out (to the right) fairly easily. Pay attention how it comes out as it goes back in the same way. Let me know if that helps.

And here's a good thread that helped me.
