So is that a real few weeks, or the 2-3 days it was last time you said a few weeks for this initial method lol.

I also don't know that I would rock the boat from the toolbox too much that's tried and tested (works, no codes, etc.) Unless it's a substantially better way for some specific reason. Or at least the toolbox method for now while testing something different.
Depends on how much free time I have. :ROFLMAO: I prefer to under promise and over deliver.

As for the toolbox “enable all FECs” method, I ported it and someone tested it but it didn’t work. I definitely could’ve done something wrong with the port, but I wasn’t a big fan of how intrusive the toolbox method was (replacing binaries with a patched version). My method should emulate how a dealership would install FECs on a vehicle.

My full screen worked first time too. Just waiting on the AA unlock mod now.

It should be added to the Github instructions that for Windows you can't FAT32 format a card over 32gb anymore natively in Windows. You need a 3rd party program off the internet.

I used FAT32format GUI and it worked fine.
What mod are you talking about? Android Auto has been available for almost 2 years

It has been available through the MH2p toolbox for free. But not freely available in an SD card only mod (that I know of?).
I see so specially in the SD card version understood...was just making sure it was known all of this is available otherwise currently via PC/cable. SD card is certainly convenient though for any new user to this

One question, what capacity did you use on the memory and in which USB (1 or 2) did you put it?
I also have a 23 Macan and ever since I got it I've wanted the full screen.

Size doesn’t matter too much as the files are small. Just use a reputable (name brand) SD card or flash drive. I doubt companies make anything smaller than 1 GB but larger is fine too.

First thanks to CarmineS and the other developers for producing this tool!

I've been trying to implement it on my 2021 992. It goes through all the steps but nothing changes. No logs are produced.

I read above that this could be because the mod is not set up on my USB drive correctly.

This is my file structure:

Image

When I run the update only two files seem to be changed:

ExceptionList.fec and
MMX2P_POSTSCRIPT.script

I believe I'm running PCM 5.

I used an iMac to create the files on a USB stick and cleaned it using BlueHarvest (manually deleting the hidden files doesn't work).

I hope we can resolve this because I know a lot of guys on the 992 forums would be pretty excited!

I'll send you a PM! Sounds like we can get this figured out and help out you 922 guys!

So thanks to CarmineS we worked it out!

I was trying to use the USB port for the update. That didn't work so I tried the SD port. That worked great! I tested both the full screen and windowed version.

I'm going to stick with the windowed version since it keeps the right side widget available - the arrow is now functional

This is awesome! Definitely need to share with the 992 guys!

applied modification last night. started the macan this morning and the display instantly came on showing carplay....no warm up/boot delay? Is there anything in the modification that keeps the PCM active, even though the car is off?
I think you start the engine a little bit later after you unlock the car. I guess PCM gets active when you first unlock the car. That's my observation

Does anyone installed this on a 2019 992 ? My car is out of warranty and I don't want to be stuck in my garage :)
anyway, look awesome !
Worst case - it does nothing. @JohnA successfully installed on his 2021 992. I assume your 2019 992 is a 2020 model year, 2019 production year with PCM 5? If so, it will work.

Can't get this to work from Mac. I removed all hidden files (with Commander One and also tried with terminal (sudo rm -rf .*).
When I insert the SD card, I have "Non compatible data" (or something similar).

Use the BlueHarvest trial. Apple doesn’t provide a good way to disable the automatic file creation. We need to find a better method than using a trial but it is what works for now.
