Do you have a moment to give me step by step directions. I'm having trouble on how to extract everything correctly onto my SD card using windows.
I tried to extract the modkit zip file onto the SD card but it only put the zip file onto it. Should I unzip the contents and then copy the contents: Data Logs Meta Mods License Readme onto the SD Card?
And then should I do the same thing with the Windowed Carplay contents.... unzip and then copy the 7 files into the Mods folder? This will mean the _uninstall.sh is the first file
Not sure why I am finding this so confusing.

That won’t work. Those files need to be in a folder inside the mods folder. Something like “CarPlayFullscreen”. Each mod must go in its own folder inside the Mods folder.

The mod kit can be used to make many mods. The two currently available change CarPlay/Android Auto from 2/3 screen to full screen. Nothing more.

If you already have Android Auto, the full screen mod will make it full screen. This mod does not give you Android Auto.

Thanks I don't think my 2020 has Android Auto or at least I plugged it in and nothing happened, although my Samsung S22+ is on its last legs and the USB C port doesn't work that well!

Sure, make sure when you extract the mod its only one folder deep i.e. mod folder > mod folder (full screen or windowed) > files
My understanding is the root level files allow you to run whatever is in the "mods" folder. Further to that the root mod application then looks for "install.sh" to install or "uninstall.sh" to uninstall that's why you need an underscore or any other character in front of the file you don't want to run.

Normally when you extract from a zip that folder structure will be...Folder ABC...Folder ABC...files. Make sure you don't have a top level folder that contains only the next level folder. Copy the entire 2nd folder and paste it into the Mod folder. I think Carmine showed the correct folder structure in one of the first posts in this thread.

See how it's Mods...PCM5... and then the various files? That's how you want it to look. When I extract the zip, sometimes it will be Mods...PCM5...PCM5... then the files.

Hopefully it make a little more sense seeing the screenshot.

This might help those on Macs that doesn't know (familiar) w/ file name structures. So in short, you place the "mod" you like (windowed or not) inside the [Mods] folder.

It's a little confusing, but really simple. You have to download the mechanism ...AND then you need to load (copy and paste or move) the files of your preferred look (windowed or full screen) into the MODS folder.

In the main link of CarmineS, there are 2 sections that's crucial—the Modkit (mechanism or app) and Mods (your choosing and you place the contents inside the "Mods" folder in the first download).

The extra step is if you have a MAC like myself.

Why is this the case? Is PCMP5 the same is MH2p???

Same thing, the mod was updated to say MH2p which is what VW/Audi uses; PCM is MH2p. That was when the mod was specifically called PCM only.

Carmine updated the name to be VW Group generic rather than Porsche specific since MH2p is used across VW, Audi, etc.

There is a solution called MH2p Toolbox. It requires an Ethernet adapter in addition to the SD card. I plan on adding similar functionality to the SD mods but that work is not finished yet.
